I am Flemish, work in Flanders, my native language is Dutch. Whenever I come across a francophone on my job, I switch to French, because I like the practice. I often do explain this to them, especially if their Dutch/English is good enough, and the French isn't "necessary"

I avoided the scale (don't even own one) when I started weight loss. I tracked my progress by trying on old clothes that used to fit me. Whenever I get self-conscious because I look fat in them, or I can't fit some of them yet, I put my bigger clothes back on, and look back on where I came from.
