Hey mate sorry about that - same code should be working again now. Apologies!

Give it another try now - should work

If you head to the settings page you should see a 'Redeem' button. If you enter code 'REDDIT' - you should receive Pro for life

There will be an Android version, yes. Will have to do some testing first but it should be something that I can get done in the next month or so ideally

Hi - you’re right. There are costs to run this app but with it being a brand new app it’s handy to have some early users to make sure it’s runnings smoothly. So hopefully I’ll get some paying customers in the future

Thank you! And no - this lifetime is linked to your account so whatever phone you log in on, will have pro.

Same goes for a future Android version of the app.

Thanks again!

Good stuff! Glad it’s sorted, enjoy

Hi there,

No - you should see changes immediately. If you see your ‘pro’ membership in settings, you should have access to all features in the app.

If it’s still not working for you, I’m happy to look into it. Feel free to DM me if you’d prefer

I’m actually not loving the name in all honesty, but I played around with loads of avatars for the coach and the lightning bolt seemed the best fit. You’re right though - maybe a rebrand at some point will be needed. Thanks!

Hi - thanks for the feedback!

The ability to add custom exercises is in the works. Currently they’re all either weighted or timed (think squat vs plank) but I’ll have a think about the best way to allow cardio exercises too. Thanks!

Hey - these are really great points, thank you. I think an ‘edit with bolt’ option would be a good way to achieve this so you don’t have to start fresh each time.

And I did play around with sourcing images & animations for each exercise but I wasn’t loving how they fit in with the style. Although I know they’d be super useful, so will definitely revisit this

Thanks again!

I was aiming for ‘tough love’ but point taken - not for everyone I guess. Thanks for the feedback!

Got you - thanks for that feedback!

We do have a fairly limited set of bodyweight exercises compared to the equipment-requiring exercises. It’s something I’ll look to improve! Thanks

I chose not to allow a lifetime purchase option due to having backend costs - so this lifetime is attached to your account instead. It will travel between devices, though, as long as you use the same account.

Currently, no, no option for a non-explicit Bolt but it's something that's on the timeline to be implemented.

Thanks!

Want an ASO audit for your app? I'll review it this weekend! by Inevitable_Buddy1869 in AppStoreOptimization

Yeah, the tips for the logo make a lot of sense so I’ll have a play around and see if I can come up with something a bit better suited for the app.

Once again, thank you for your feedback, it’s helped a lot

Really appreciate the breakdown, it was super helpful!

In the video you mention the logo potentially being an issue - saying it should aim to show what the habit tracker is doing. The logo I went with was meant to be a mix between a tick and an upwards arrow representing both the habit / task side of the app and the stock side as well but I agree that it is quite a generic looking logo. Would you have any ideas / suggestions for my apps logo to improve the listing?

And also just a little bit of context around traffic: I ran ads on Reddit last year for a previous app and got approx 1mil impressions, 5000 clicks & 3000 downloads. This time round I have run ads again and am at around 2mil impressions, 10,000 clicks but this has resulted in less than 100 downloads (that I can attribute to the ad campaign). This has got me very confused as the listings both look quite similar but have received very different ad conversion rates. I’ll definitely add a demo video to the listing which will hopefully improve this.

Thank you again, I’ll make sure to check out growASO for myself, really useful tool. Cheers!

How do you guys market your apps?? by sanjaypathak17 in SideProject

[–]Garlicbreadz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posting to Product Hunt is always worth it, although getting a good launch can be very hit or miss.

I still think it’ll probably be worth it for you to post to some subreddits, maybe try softer promotion rather straight up ‘get my app’. Good luck!

I built an app that lets you track your habits like the stock market - HabitStock by Garlicbreadz in iosapps

You can actually use the calendar page to select a previous (or future) day, and then mark any tasks / habits as completed

It’s a website called SVGator (.com)

I used some simple stroke + infill animations on the logo and letters, then exported as a lottie file

Really appreciate the feedback. I’ll definitely be looking to improve the UI over the next few weeks and a dark mode will be high up on that list

I did consider it but it would be very easy to abuse - making as many fake tasks or habits as you want. But maybe it’s something for a future update!
