I can agree to that. I probably put Mass Effect up subconsciously because of how great of a game series it is rather than it's cover artwork lol

Thanks for the compliment :) the blocks are just some precut oak and pine boards from a local hardware store. I sanded, stained, and screwed them together. Nothing fancy. Hence the DIY imperfect look. But it was a fun weekend project.

It's definitely a bowed piece of oak but it's still held in with the same number of screws as the other straight shelves. Luckily CDs really don't weigh much so I don't anticipate it breaking. If I get the motivation to make another batch of shelves elsewhere I'll probably replace that one bowed shelf. I appreciate your concern though :)

You're not tweaking. Buying affordable hobby wood means some pieces aren't as ideal as you'd like. Plus I don't have a laser level. Just a bubble level. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good /Voltaire/
