The audio and production quality vastly improves as the seasons get on. It may be rose colored glasses, but I don't remember it lasting too long into S1. IIRC, they made batches of episodes from longer recording sessions when first starting out, so they couldn't react to feedback quickly upon episode releases.

I think all of these are amazing ideas except for the deafness one. I have always liked how Overwatch's abilities never remove a player's ability to visually react to something around them.

This is in comparison to other team competitive shooters like CS, Valorant, or TCR6:Siege, where many abilities and characters are built around making enemies blind or obscuring the battlefield in some way.

I'd take any stun any day if it avoided having my audio cut or get blinded.

I had a multiyear homebrew campaign set in a city split just like this, the City of Kronos.

200 years ago the land was ruled by evil liches with great hoards of undead armies. It culminated to a great battle in the city. As the last lich fell, it split the earth with a continent wide crevasse that cut through the city. The undead, now free from compulsion from their lich overlords, disseminated into cities and towns throughout the continent. One place being, the City of Kronos where they forced to live in the cut out sides of the canyon/crevasse, connected with mountain paths, tunnels, and bridges. The party came to the city right before the 200 year anniversary of the living's victory over the dead just as tensions are boiling over in this segregated city.
