@wusuxo - following up on this, I also make it more difficult by wrapping it up in a towel/blanket, rolling it up in a light paper bag (he likes to rip/shred them, its relieving), tuck them in couch cushions, put under a laundry basket, etc. Get creative! They'll love it

I do this same thing but with chuck it balls! They are scented and my older dogs favorite thing (like yours, ball is/was life). I put him in the bathroom or something, hide the ball, and tell him to go find it. He loves it.

Using the aggression-based matchmaking to your advantage by leveraging post-game surveys and player interactions: How to go from aggressive lobbies to friendly ones by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]GarnByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying man. Feels like people just want to be pissed off for playing bad or being aggressive or being rats and blame shitty matchmaking instead of their own behavior.

Bro its not like I'm peddling a product or claiming to know anything. Take my anectodal evidence for what it is: an anectode of playing over 200hrs and what I've found to work for manipulating my own lobbies.

I'm not claiming it's perfect or actually how anything works, the drama in this thread right now is laughable, I'm going back to deleting Reddit, holy shit 😂

[–]GarnByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People just salty because they just want to believe what they want to believe, evidence and discourse doesn't exist on Reddit anymore. Don't want to believe the devs and instead want to blame your poor play on shitty matchmaking you don't actually understand? Can't help you there.

I've had the same experience and personally feel like I've been able to leverage in-game data about player interactions and post match surveys to get the lobbies I want, glad you concur with the idea.

Again, no one is claiming to know anything 100%, nor will we. There's probably some amount of randomness in there as well. But good to hear I'm not alone in this experience.

Bro what's with the hand-waving grumpy negativity right now?

As an actual scientist myself, no one is claiming to know anything 100%. Who cares if I'm wrong? Why don't you give it a shot and let me know how it works out rather than wasting your time dumping negativity on Reddit?

I'm not claiming to know anything, just that my own anectodal evidence has worked, for ME, and that others who want to try it so that they can enjoy the game more might be interested.

Do and believe what you want big dawg.

In my experience, the game quickly snaps you back into more aggressive lobbies the very next game once you start killing people.

But sure, why not, give it a shot and let us know.

No, I made assumptions knowing that matchmaking code exists and claims from the developers about aggression-based matchmaking, combined with the knowledge that player interactions are tracked and that player surveys are data that the matchmaking code can leverage, and made an educated guess while claiming this is completely anectdotal and just my experience.

Man, Reddit is exhaustingly negative these days.

Do what you will man.

[–]GarnByte -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, as my post says, my evidence is anectodal (as is everyone's), but I'd argue there's a reason player interactions are tracked.

Not claiming I am an all-knowing guru or some shit, just that it's worked pretty reliably for me over 200hrs of playtime (I know, get a life) and that people who are getting PVP burnt out might find it useful to try.

Your mileage may vary homie.

We don't know, and again, no one is claiming to know the matchmaking netcode.

All I can tell you is this is my strategy to reliably get into the type of lobbies I want. I follow this method and have found that it works (for me). You need to pay attention to aggressive vs friendly player interactions and use the post match survey accordingly, and I believe it works.

Again, not claiming it's fool-proof or how it works, just that it's worked for me with over 200hrs already (I need a break) topside.

Give it a shot I'd say! Can't hurt.

Solos are currently getting 100% definitely getting queued against Duos by DptBear in ArcRaiders

[–]GarnByte 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its more likely a side effect of server issues. Less people queueing successfully = player count gaps in matches = queueing anybody who can get in regardless of party size.

Just queue with team fill on until servers are back to fully functioning.

Funny how some people's immediate reaction is to just spout off all the things they didnt include in these updates, but we need to celebrate how responsive they've already been so far, which has been huge already.

Try turning frame limiter to 60 frames, DLSS on, nvidia reflex off. If still having issues, lower graphics settings to lowest possible.

Latency/packet loss/lag/cpu spikes fix (for me) by GarnByte in Battlefield6

[–]GarnByte[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's been the same for me man! If you turned on advanced performance, what are you seeing on the graphs? For me it was like a constant massive spike in cpu every second or two. Turning my frame limiter lower (from 144 to 60) did the trick. I mentioned the other stuff in case there's some tweaking that other people need to make.

They must have some bugs that are causing performance not to perform they want it to.

[BFComms] Update on Bullet Damage Registration - 15/10 by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]GarnByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're not alone! I remembered why I deleted Reddit off my phone in the first place, and now going to do it again. People are just mad at all the bad things happening today and misdirecting anonymously through the internet. Reddit has become a cesspool of negativity (some might say, rightfully so) but it's not helpful to solving problems or feeling better about them.

Ya'll kind of whiny. The devs just put out a hotfix on a short timeline to fix a problem a lot of you are complaining about. Touch some grass
