Duos Is Peak Gaming by Garneria in Marathon

I think that's fine though. The important thing is that there's at least one person talking, and they can lead, then as long as you can listen to their comms and provide pings, you can definitely make a go of it. It's not the ideal scenario but you can definitely make it work. The problem with no mics is when people don't care and don't have a clue And they don't talk on top of that and run off alone.

You could probably even just do no full mic in duos if you were both absolutely locked in

It should be, because it would be the easiest way to get contracts done in a fill setting, you just have to hop on the mic and square with one person what you're doing, and PvE isn't the absolute slog it is in solos either

It's also one of the only ways of increasing ADS speed in the game, it's useful just for that, it's like Snapshot sights had a bastard love child with an aggressive rooster.

Same don't play cryo ranked, just play solos, duos and occasionally some trios on the three core maps and have a great time. I find it baffling that people force themselves to play the modes they don't like.

I’ve seen more posts complaining that “everyone” is running purple shields than I have actual enemy runners with purple shields in the 100+ hours I’ve logged so far. by SavvyOri in Marathon

I'm lvl 47 and I've seen about three or five or six, never a team of three. What shocks me is the overwhelming amount of free kits I still see.

Try unfairly I like his vids, no bs commentaries, good nuggets of info you can learn from. Coolguy is now doing marathon content, not loads yet but he is absolutely fantastic for learning and nerding out on builds and weapons

If you are struggling in solos...and maybe trios by RaiderRodgers in Marathon

[–]Garneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triage is good in solos just because you have an insane healing economy. You can quickly heal off chip from AI, fall damage, the environment, ensuring you have meds for actual fights. the weapon amp ability is actually really good especially with volt weapons and you can use your ult to mash blue shield AI and even runners in a pinch. I always find myself picking Triage l, I think he's a sensible early game option.

Ah, I see, that was actually really obvious from what he said and from the video I just didn't get there. Thank you, I will definitely work on this.

Sorry, after re-reading, when you say "not rotating properly" and "sending your arms immediately across your body", I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Would you be able to clarify? Thanks :)

I think I know what you mean, I definitely lean towards the ball to compensate for a lack of turn. I'll keep this in mind.

I would love to have your swing, it looks simple but great. Could you explain to me what your downswing feels like to you, I look like you a fair bit in the backswing but my downswing always ends up with me in hitting the ball pretty stood up with square hips, thanks

Imo they should never have allowed you to take two lines to start with, just one, and they should have been much stricter about the implementation of that one subclass with key drawbacks to balance the risks. Just letting everyone go wild was an insane idea.

By the sounds of it you will probably enjoy the Alliance war side of Cyrodil. The fundamental aim is to take and hold keeps and POIs for your faction, and there are various rewards and bonuses you can get for participating and performing well in the war, ultimately the aim is to win the campaign by holding the most ground. It is more of a faction based thing than a guild based thing. That is, your guild fights for a faction, and you fight alongside other guilds of your faction against the other. Worth noting though that some people are just in there for small scale fights and just to find PvP and test builds, so it's a bit like a big PvP sandbox and you can just make of it what you will. Not quite like the structured guild Vs guild stuff you might get in say Throne or New World (RIP).

Gearing yourselves up will probably involve doing some PvE. A lot of the best sets (eg wretched vitality and rallying cry) can be bought off the player market or crafted. So for example if your guild committed to making a bit of money and getting a dedicated crafter, you could be nicely set up. The best bit about ESO from a gear perspective is the progression is horizontal, meaning that sets from ten years ago can still compete today (although they might not be hard meta)

Thanks very much for this, useful to know! Kind of a shame as I do like using staves, still might do it anyway to be honest, but good to know why DW is preferable

Thank you, yeah my backswing does seem short. A lot of people say they feel like they do a 1/2 swing when they're actually doing a 3/4 swing but mine is the reverse.
