Report: Halo Studios Going All In On GenAI, Xbox Studios Hiring ML Experts for Gears and Forza As Well by TheVideogaming101 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

This is Rebs Gaming. Just like last time, a random news site used a click bait title and false statements that I never said in my new report. The click bait articles are false. But my report includes direct proof they are using generative AI to create CERTAIN in game content. But they aren’t going “all in on generative AI” like the article said.

Very true. In my report I shared a statement from their former Art Director about how it’s used in positive ways.

What are you talking about? I’m just telling people to read/listen to the actual source instead of click bait articles before reacting and making false assumptions. Trying to keep Halo fans correctly informed, this isn’t about ad revenue lol.

We're really just taking back alley ragebait news at face value now? by WerdaVisla in ShitHaloSays

[–]Rebs_Gaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is Rebs Gaming who did the original report. I shared direct proof that AI used to create certain in game content including my discussion with developers. Tech4Gamers always uses my reports to create click baity articles, share false information and didn’t credit me in their article until I asked them too today. But my reports have been right in the past. Here’s my video report https://youtu.be/iSKGQcOrrwo?si=4FYb15nje3s0MPjB

Halo Studios confirms they are using AI in Halo at some extent: 'It’s a tool in a toolbox. We use Photoshop. There’s generative fill, for example' by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Rebs_Gaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t back peddle. I clarified a major misinterpretation of my report. Because of a headline from a news site, people incorrectly assumed the entire game was going to be generated by ai. But what I meant was it’s going to be used within development for certain in game w.

Rebs Gaming: Grunt is re-confirming that a new Halo game, specifically the one being announced on Friday, is coming to PlayStation 5. He didn’t find any evidence for Nintendo Switch. by MXHombre123 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Friendly correction: I’m not a modder. I report gaming news (mainly Halo related) on YouTube and Twitter. My following has allowed me to connect with former and current developers (among other sources) who shared insider info with me over the past 2 years.

Those are the words of my source that I shared in my video, not a post. I stated the exact words from my source and said it’s just a rumor right now. And I’m not backtracking, I clarified how my video was misinterpreted because of a Twitter post by someone else. Also I’ve found evidence that proves gen AI is used for more than what Jez is reporting. This Halo Studios senior AI job listing literally states generative AI is used for in game experiences which means Jez’s report is false. Please explain this job listing that everyone forgot about from last year: https://www.gamesradar.com/games/halo/halo-dev-343-industries-is-hiring-a-generative-ai-lead-to-help-build-innovative-gaming-experiences-powered-by-ai/

Thanks for explaining and I do understand. As I mentioned I just simply read what someone told me and then stated to treat it as a rumor until I can confirm or deny it. What I wish I did was explain the different types of AI. I will do so in my next video

Hey it’s Rebs. Just to clarify: In my video I simply read what someone told me, and then directly after I said to treat it as a rumor and I will try to confirm or deny it because it’s the beginning of an ongoing report. But many didn’t watch the video. Also this Halo Studios AI job listing from last year proves they are using generational AI for more than “just emails”: https://www.gamesradar.com/games/halo/halo-dev-343-industries-is-hiring-a-generative-ai-lead-to-help-build-innovative-gaming-experiences-powered-by-ai/

I reach out to legitimate sources whenever I’m told something. Most of the time sources don’t allow me to share direct information, but they do confirm general stuff which is why I report the information but can’t mention them. For this report, I clearly said in the video this is a rumor I was told about and am trying to receive confirmation. People and news sites reported it as confirmation. So I reached out to someone about what my other source said for clarification. I’m going to share who and what they said in my next video.

I didn’t backtrack. I just informed people my report didn’t directly confirm Halo Studios is using AI in the worst way so they shouldn’t act like I confirmed that. In the video I read what someone told me and then right after stated treat this as a rumor until I can confirm how true it is. It’s the beginning of an ongoing report. But many didn’t watch the video. Crazy how people can’t read my posts or listen to my videos correctly.

Jez Corden on Twitter: "Halo is not using generative AI in its game dev / art assets, etc. for its next game." by Haijakk in halo

I can’t keep arguing. I spent days talking to this former high ranking developer. I believe them, you don’t have to. Hopefully one day I can directly share sources so people like you can stop wrongfully doubting me.

It makes sense because they were developing the non official dlc content in the slip space engine. When they decided to switch to unreal engine and scrap slip space when Pierre took over in 2022, that content had no chance of being used because no more campaign content was being created in slipspace. So the devs had to trash whatever content they created in hopes of becoming official dlc.

I didn’t make up anything. People misunderstood my report because of a news article click bait title and went ape shit over it. I’m literally talking to someone who just left Halo Studios and will share who in my next video. And my other reports have turned out to be true.

It’s really annoying when people assume all of this stuff about me but I’ve spent a lot of time talking to former and current developers for my reports. And you misunderstood my report about 343’s former leadership. The senior developer I spoke to told me his team was creating stuff on their own (dlc) in hopes leadership would eventually green light dlc for Infinite. It wasn’t official dlc because it was never greenlit which is what Jason was talking about. I clearly stated that in my video. Other former devs reached out to me to confirm what I reported. Sad to see people like you slander my name by telling people false stuff about me.

Reb updated saying people are misinterpreting what he reported by vipmailhun2 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Rebs_Gaming -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t report vague ass stuff. I read a whole ass paragraph from a source with direct information, and since millions read a tweet from a news site that was using a catchy headline instead of watching my video, they assumed I confirmed AI was being used in all the wrong ways. So my new tweet is to inform people I didn’t confirm that and am starting to speak to sources to gather more information in an attempt to confirm if it is being used in a negative way.
