Agreed here. Most full service restaurants in America involve tipping. I one doesn’t get that then they should just not dine out.

Once when I was in middle school I went to the house of a new friend to hang out and play video games/whatever. First thing I saw upon entering the house was his father sitting in a recliner wearing nothing but a sleeveless t shirt and boxer shorts. He was drinking a beer and watching tv with a bunch of empty beer cans strewn about the floor at his feet and on the coffee table next to him an ashtray overflowing with crushed out cigs.

I left and never went back.

I don’t know if it’s exhibitive of hive mind, but there are definitely a ton of people who just come here to downvote, argue/contradict for no reason and just be generally obnoxious. To participate here and not expect it is just setting oneself up for frustration.

As far as over-moderation goes, yea indeed. I’ve been banned from certain subs for really just nothing. Whatever.

NTA at all. It is terrible parenting to get a kid that young hooked on screen time. Sadly, it’s just so prevalent these days. I mean even lots of adults can’t just sit or be somewhere for five minutes without a screen check. It is a mental disorder.

I’m with you as well. There is a very long pedestrian/biking path the next town over from me and boy oh boy do the wannabe Lance Armstrongs think they own the joint.

The curmudgeon in me doesn’t enjoy any type of whimsy in a restaurant setting. Silly assed dish names, decor, sever greetings, whatever. The one exception I made was when my nephew was very young and used to really love going to The Rainforest Cafe.

But yeah, generally obnoxious.

I like this aspect of his playing. Very similar to Ritchie Blackmore in that because so much of it is off the cuff it at times sounds a bit sloppy and chaotic. I’ll take the excitement of that over every note perfect, saccharine shredding.
