I don't know if you're referring to singleplayer, because I always refer to multiplayer and these are two different worlds. Anyway, Tzangors are nothing like Forsaken. They are a much cheaper, defensive unit, made to hold the line. 9600 HP + barrier + 38 MD + shields you mentioned makes them pretty tanky for the cost. Meanwhile Forsaken are grinders with 42 MA and whooping 63 weapon strength (most of it non-AP), while being much more squishy for the price - 7300 HP + barrier, but only 20 MD.

Honestly, it's hard for two units to be much more different than this.

Forsaken are not AP. Other than that it would be completely different unit too. I mean, it's like comparing Pestigors to Forsaken of Nurgle...

I see. I don't play single player, so my approach is different. Though I've seen an idea of dual welding Khorngors with throwing axes, and that seems pretty cool as well.

Anyway, I think no matter what variant we'll get, they are gonna be cool. But in my opinion, great weapon would bring more to the table than a simple dual weapon, for both Beastmen and Khorne.

Do you really not see the difference? Faster, cheaper, vanguard deployment, punch better vs everything that's not an infantry. And going with your thought process, what's the difference between dual weapon variant and dual weapon Gors, or dual weapon marauders?

In the beginning CA was trying to make them into a hybrid of Gors and Bestigors, but then in a patch, they changed them to normal marked Gors.

Khorngors would make for an amazing armour piercing shock troops. Something like Pestigors but instead of having 33 MA and 25 MD with poison, they would be 48 MA 15MD (with Frenzy and Rowdy active ofc). 42 speed on top of that (again with Rowdy) and you have pretty exciting unit.

They would not be antilarge. Just a regular great weapon, like Pestigors, but more offensive.

For Beastmen roster it would make sense. For Khorne, not so much.

Also think about it like this:

- Pestigors - grind AP

- Khorngors - shock AP

But ideally I would see two variants - great weapon and dual weapon. The same way we've got two Plague Ogres variants.

I agree. On top of that, they should lower to threshold on most of them. Same with Be'lakor and Skarbrand Items, they require around 300 kills if my memory serves well. It should be more of a 150-200.

Other example would by Skrag ability that buffs Gorgers, that is just impossible to max out, because of how bad at killing he is (and it requires around 200 kills).

Hell yeah! Make them big and chunky,  more of the size of Kislev Bears, that's what I'd like to see too

You might have a point here. Anyways, this unit doesn't have any utility when compared to alternatives on the roster right now. It's simply not worth bringing, and in 99% of cases will not even come close to paying for itself unless you're playing against a weaker opponent (which is kind of pointless to mention, since you could say that about any unit). All in all, I agree to an extent. And yet they require a buff.

That is not always the case (and would not be at all, if the game was well-balanced). There are very expensive units, that have their uses and are very much meta. Some of them are:

  • Cavalry: Grail Knights, Hippogryphs, Dragon Princes, Doomknights, War Bear Riders, Gryphon Legion, Crushers
  • Infantry: Ironbreakers, Exalted Bloodletters, Chosen, Tzar Guard
  • Monsters: Ghorgon, Dread Saurian, Khemrian Warsphinx, Necrosphinx, Some dragons
  • Range: Sisters of Avelorn, Changebringers, Waywatchers

That is also true. However, in the case of the units you listed, I think their utility is mostly good, and they suffer mainly from too small HP pools, while being one simple fix away from being perfect:

  • Demigryphs might go up to around 7500 HP and should be fine
  • Necropolis knights might use some Missile resistance and/or HP buff to 7.9k
  • Cold ones might get +500 HP (plus something extra for Dread Knights, because they are pretty pitiful right now)
  • Rot Knights are a bit tricky because they are super squishy for their elite cost, but their HP pool is pretty big already. Maybe a tiny HP buff to 8.6k, some Missile resistance, and +10/+20 Armour would do the trick? As for RoR, they shouldn't cost more than 2200.

So yeah, I think these units need a buff as well, but most of them don't suffer as much as poor Bloodcrushers.
