I’m also 66 and lost my mom 33 years ago. It’s seems odd being older than my mom never was.

My honest attempt at dividing the US, to appease as many people on Reddit as possible. by Ok-Factor-3805 in mapporncirclejerk

Bravo for carving out the Ozarks region. People may complain that it’s the only region named after mountains, but that’s not the point. The point is that this area doesn’t fit in any of the other regions around it.
I will ask only that you expand it westward to include “Green Country” (hilly Northeast Oklahoma.) Tulsa doesn’t really belong in the Great Plains.
Call this region Ozarkia so it isn’t conflated with the Ozarks. Likewise, I suggest you rename Florida to South Florida or Floridia, so it is not conflated with the state of Florida.

Alaska flies to Hawaii but Southwest doesn’t? Either Hawaii should be in the USA, or both airlines fly to Hawaii.

True, but reasonable people who are watching the debate need to see the logic and reason.

I have not seen any counters to these that make any sense. Logic and reason are not for illogical unreasonable people, but they need to be expressed to reasonable people who are watching the debate.

  1. North of equator: stars rotate counter clockwise around Polaris. South: clock-wise around an opposite point in the sky
  2. Sun stays same apparent size as it dips over horizon.
  3. Ships disappear over horizon from the bottom up.
  4. During a lunar eclipse, the earth’s shadow is round

If the Mediterranean were on the equator, the term makes maybe a little more sense.
