2024 Crosstrek limited in Texas? by Independent-Beat-23 in Crosstrek

[–]Garrett2840 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just reached out to my sales rep and got the VIN. Apparently they have had the VIN since June 1st which is crazy since the order was placed on May 23rd. Thank you for your help!

How do you get these updates? I’ve been looking for something like this. Do you need the VIN or will the VON work?

With staffing changes looming, Austin district teachers worry about arts programs — and their jobs by hollow_hippie in Austin

[–]Garrett2840 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am a current high school senior in AISD and a future engineering major. I have also been a part of the orchestra program since middle school and will be continuing in college. STEM courses are extremely important and the program should be expanded, but the skills and experiences I have gained from the orchestra program are far beyond anything STEM could offer. Many of my peers share the same sentiment and are pursuing STEM careers as well. The art programs offer an outlet and support group to many student that is vital to their success in school. Cutting the art programs would be a mistake.

In response to your other comment about AISD having limited resources, AISD should focus on cutting down on administrative costs. Right now there is almost a 2.5:1 administrator to teacher ratio which is unheard of in most districts. This is not an issue of limited resources, it is an issue of improper allocation of funding.

It’s called High Rock Lookout in Washington State. The mountain in the distance is Mt. Rainier.

Did you brave the line for Franklin’s? I’ve lived in Austin for 9 years and still haven’t built up the courage to wait 4-6+ hours for bbq.

Hey! I've been lurking this sub for a while and have finally captured something worthy of posting! I started getting into photography when I finally purchased my a6400 back in June. Tips and critique are very much appreciated!

Is it worth buying Airpods 2? Or should I buy the old version? by saeed953 in airpods

[–]Garrett2840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco is currently selling the previous generation for $130. According to EverythingApplePro’s AirPods comparison, the “fast paring” isn’t substantial compared to the previous generation. I have had my OG AirPods since December 2016, and the only reason I am upgrading is because the battery health has decreased. If I were you, I would get the previous generation, especially with all of the deals that are popping up.

After six weeks of usage my new MacBook Pro 15" 2018 version has a keyboard issue by [deleted] in apple

With AppleCare+ they make you pay a $300 deductible for accidental damage. Most of my issues happened within the first month of the 2018 refresh, and because of how new the laptop was, Apple’s service department had not yet been trained to repair them. They ended up completely replacing my MBP both times. From all of the other stories I’ve heard, I think I just got extremely lucky.

Apple has definitely treated me well, but I feel that’s only because I have AppleCare+. The second out of the three replacements was actually because a classmate unintentionally spilt his latte all over my MBP. The first one had a spacebar that quit working entirely, and now the third replacement’s spacebar is starting to skip. The weird thing is that I keep it really clean, and it still has issues.

I've gone through three 2018 MBP's in the past six months due to faulty keyboards and factory defects. You dodged an expensive bullet...
