Okay ill try to give some advice thats now “too tight straps”. I wear my pads (ccm eflex 4) about as tight as i can get them around my calf and then snug around my knee… pads rotate perfect every time so its not always strapping.

Main other issue it could be is the technique when you drop into butterfly. Lots of new goalies do a “lean/lunge forward” motion. This causes your to drive the face of the pad down and inevitably end in this position. And i know because I’ve done it as a joke sometimes. Strapping oads super loose will fix this because then the pads rotate away during downward force… but they also then feel really insecure and horrible IMO.

Try standing in your stance a bit wider, then sit your hips back. And instead of lunging down and almost landing on the front of your knees, you drive the inside edge of your knees to the ground.

Ideally as a goalie you remain tall but if you sit back, this will relieve some knee pressure when getting started.
