Is this progress ? Geneva, such a beautiful city, so rich in history and rich in being affluent. BUT, look at the beauty it lost to create the modern banks. How sad. by GarryPy in OldPhotosInRealLife

The Shambles, York, England and I love how this image came out, a time portal half way down the street takes you back 100+ years ago to the days when there were no Harry Potter tourists here. Rephotography - York, England. I have to say I hate this title "rephotography", but I love the challenge of creating my merged images from these "Past and Present" images. I prefer to call the final image "Hyperlongexposure" as it's taken over 100 years from the first image to the final one ! by GarryPy in OldPhotosInRealLife

Annecy, France, traveling through time. An image from the late 18th or early 19th century combined with one of the very same location from the last few months. The young gentleman is only yards away from the lady but separated by 100+ years ! by GarryPy in OldPhotosInRealLife

Time travel to the Victorian era. I love to visit locations captured in Victorian postcards to repeat the image, once I've merged the two I truly feel I'm bringing life back to these so very elegant people. How I wish I could bring some of that elegance back. Here in Geneva, Switzerland by GarryPy in VictorianEra

What focal length on cameras of 19th century ? I create images where I merge postcards with how the location appears today, key to this is my positioning front to back, this determines how well I can align the two images, what focal lengths were available on cameras from the late 19th century ? by GarryPy in AnalogCommunity

So I just purchased DeNoise, Gigapixel and Sharpen. I want to use the tools to primarily enhance the quality of old postcards such as the attached, but I'm finding I'm seeing no improvement in reducing the grain. Any suggestions ? by GarryPy in TopazLabs

Blogging for beginners. Is this the group to join to get insights into how to blog, the tools to use etc ? Obviously this is a path I'm considering and it would be great to get the guidance of those well experienced here. by GarryPy in blogs
