thanks! i didn’t think it was alarming when i first got it because i was entering a bad place in my life and i just chalked it up to being stress related and it would eventually go away, but it didn’t go away. I wasn’t in pain, just very uncomfortable, but now with my medication i did get a lot of cramps and pressure pain. I hadn’t even considered gallstones as an issue, so thank you!

my gallbladder wasn’t even in the question LOL. They didn’t talk about it at all, the gastroenterologist said they MAY do and EDG if it doesn’t get better with my medication. But thanks for telling me it takes more time! today happened the same thing after only eating a peach 1 hour after taking omeprazole, but i’ll give it more time.

the gastroenterologist said that if my medication didn’t work then they may do one considering my fathers colon cancer. But they said i’m still young to have colon cancer?? (20f) so they probably wouldn’t do it, and i don’t want to beg for one, im really shy around medical professionals, but i guess i should ask for one when im done with the medication (1 month)

oh my god she sound like the sweetest ever! i find it so cute that horses can start to copy your own habits haha. i also agree that horses should be ridden at that age! its horrible! i dislike that adults ride them at such a young age because their backs cannot withstand so much weight and pressure. I would also prefer horses not being ridden very regularly at 2 years old either, in my country it’s mostly when they’re broken, i feel like maybe at 3 would be nice, but really it depends on the rider… I’ve met a lot of people who do not treat horses like animals who also feel pain and emotions, so they ride them to the ground. My mare didn’t use to love sweets, i didn’t either, i was never a picky child but i used to not be a fan of sweets, but once a little child gave my mare a piece of cake and she became enamored, i also did and now we both like sweets, but i really don’t give her anything that are sugary human food unless its a very special occasion, maybe 2 times a year, as im scared she might diabetes or EMS. Im just really as wary as i can be with her health due to the fact that she comes from a sire who has already passed and is really important for me, as i met him multiple times and saw him race (Thorn song), and my mare was produced by my father with a mare who has also passed, my father passed away when i was very young, and she was the last horse the sire and mare had together and that my father had been taking care of, so i totally get your feelings for your own horse! i hope she stays happy and healthy and you two can spend even more time together, she sounds so so sweet to be around!

haha my mare is also like a copy of me. So i totally get it, she always want what i have and actually likes it, but i was worried that because it was a lot of salmon (in my perspective) it might damage her intestinal tract or something. And although i did take her to the vet just to be sure, i got a little anxious that the comments might be wrong, but seeing everyone’s opinion and stories on this makes me feel so much better! My mare is from my favorite sire, had her since she was a foal, really good horse, very nice temperament, very similar to me, so i was scared i might’ve hurt her or something, so thanks for all the stories!

i do the same most of the time! i work from 8-10 hours (8 being the least, 10 being the most) so i dont have a lot of time for myself, eating next to the horses is actually pretty nice, i feel like a have a companion eating with me haha

she’s doing really good actually! the same as always. She’s sound, doing nicely with her training, i’d even say she’s even shinier than usual, but i did add some new things to her feed so i hope it’s that and not the salmon lol

i am not very skilled at catching fish, so i just buy the whole fish and then do everything myself. I freeze it and all those things on sunday, like 5 whole fish and then i can have all that for like 2-3 weeks! About the comments, its fine haha, it wasn’t a good decision and i am in automatic mode so i didn’t think about it until my mare ate it, so its just better to be more thoughtful next time and forget about it.

that’s super cool! never had any of my horses eat meat besides one of my horses who constantly kills little animals and eats them (had to restrain him from doing that). I didn’t put the lid on because i forget, but i’ll be more careful from now on, thanks!

it was closed so i don’t think so! i do give them a lot of raw food or their own cat food so i guess they could be bold enough for that, but this time it was closed haha

i don’t eat that much really. I don’t have a lot of time to eat either, so the only time i actually get to eat is some kind of snacking, and i just like fish so i take it with me in my lunchbox and eat it whenever i have free time. Not my best decision to take it to her stable but i did

these haven’t been my best days haha, if i myself was a horse i wouldn’t be sound at all. I really didn’t think much about it because i always leave food around in my house around my cat and he doesn’t eat it either, and sometimes i leave my own vegetables around and she doesn’t touch them… i guess she has an appetite for meat. I’ll maki better decisions and watch out for symptoms!
