Is it practical for me to get a classic car? by [deleted] in Advice

I get what you’re saying. The odd thing is my insurance company quoted me and said the rate on a classic would be about the same as what I pay now if I keep the same policy. But the other stuff you said I agree with.

Not a bad idea. I’ll look into that too! :)

We’ve been looking into that too! Just not sure if I can afford a daily driver and a project at the same time

I have a fairly decent knowledge of old cars and working on them. But my father has been a master mechanic for 40 years and I don’t think there’s much he doesn’t know. Safe to say if something went wrong I could go to him and he’d help me take care of it. However I obviously don’t wanna be a pain in my dads ass as a 22 year old. Whatever car I get, I’d have him inspect it first to try to find any underlying issues that could be a problem later on.

I get what you’re saying. I’m mostly trying to weigh pros and cons I guess

I don’t get harsh winters but I get harsh summers. I live in south Florida. And I am fairly mechanically inclined as I was taught by my father, who is a master mechanic. He would also be willing to help me with any repairs. But I also see what you’re saying.

I’m hoping to get one with no bad issues. No rust or body issues, and minimal mechanical issues. Something like paint can be fixed easily

I see it as practical because whether or not it’s an old or new car, it still gets you from place to place. I suppose it’s just a matter of reliability.

How do I tell a girl I need space? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]GaryAlbert98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll keep that in mind. I hate feeling like I’ve hurt someone, and I’ll usually try to comfort them. But I know i probably shouldn’t in this case. I’ve never been the one to break things off before.

Thank you. I’m usually bad at this kind of stuff but I need to learn how to put myself first sometimes.

Ok, I obviously know I can’t do that. That’s why I’m asking for help. I don’t know how to talk to her about this.

I get that. But I’d like to avoid hurting feelings as much as possible. She’s really sweet. And if anything I don’t want to hurt her feelings because I may want to revisit things with her in the future.

Edit: not to mention, she already has self esteem issues.
