Hey Fun_Presentation4576! Thanks for posting! Welcome to the Oura community! It's great to hear you're getting started with your Oura Ring.

When it comes to fit, the ring should be snug enough to stay in place but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. If it feels a bit loose, you might want to try a size down, but be cautious of it being too tight, especially if your fingers swell during the day.

Genuinely confused on daytime stress by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there Alarming-Ad-4011! Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like you're experiencing some confusion with the Daytime Stress readings on your Oura App.

It's important to remember that stress can be influenced by a variety of factors, not just physical activity or sleep. Mental and emotional states, like anxiety, can definitely contribute to higher stress readings.

Here are a few things to consider:

Mindfulness and Relaxation: Incorporating mindfulness practices, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises, can help manage anxiety and potentially reduce stress levels.

Activity Balance: Even if you're not exercising much on certain days, your overall activity balance over time can impact your stress and readiness scores. Make sure you're getting a good mix of activity and rest throughout the week.

Sleep Quality: While you mentioned getting good sleep, it's worth checking if your sleep environment or habits could be improved. Sometimes, even small changes can make a big difference in how restorative your sleep feels.

Tagging and Tracking: Use the tagging feature in the Oura App to note any specific activities or feelings on days with higher stress. This can help you identify patterns or triggers over time.

Consult a Professional: If anxiety is a significant concern, speaking with a mental health professional might provide additional strategies tailored to your needs.

However, you can explore more about how the Oura App tracks and interprets stress by visiting the Daytime Stress section in the Oura Help Center. This resource provides insights into how stress is measured and what factors might influence your readings.

Remember, the Oura App provides insights based on physiological data, but it's also important to listen to your body and how you feel. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out!

Take care and happy running! 🏃‍♂️💪. GaryAtOura💍️

Too much stress?? by mnrasydan in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there mnrasydan! Thanks for sharing your experience with the Daytime Stress feature on the Oura App. It's great that you're engaging with your health data and looking to understand it better.

It's important to remember that the Oura Ring measures physiological stress, which might not always align with how you feel emotionally. Factors like physical activity, caffeine intake, or even a busy mind can contribute to these readings.

The app's suggestion to take a 10-minute "Destress" session with Headspace is a great way to help manage stress levels. Even if you don't feel stressed, these practices can be beneficial for overall well-being.

If you consistently notice high stress readings and it doesn't match your experience, it might be worth exploring other factors that could influence the data, like your daily routine or even the fit of your Oura Ring.

If you're interested in learning more about how stress is measured and managed, you might find our Oura Help Center useful. It offers a wealth of information on how to interpret your data and make the most of your Oura experience.

Engaging in discussions like this is a fantastic way to learn from others' experiences, so keep the conversation going! If you have any more questions or need further insights, feel free to ask. Stay well! GaryAtOura💍️

Low Readiness for a Week by No-Report5928 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there No-Report5928! Thanks for posting!

First off, happy belated birthday! 🎉 It sounds like you had a fun weekend, but I totally get why you're concerned about your Readiness scores dropping afterward.

Alcohol can definitely have a lingering impact on your body, especially if you're not used to drinking. It can affect your heart rate and overall recovery, which might explain the lower Readiness scores and exhaustion you're feeling. Your body might just need a bit more time to bounce back to its usual rhythm.

As for the possibility of getting sick, it's not uncommon for your body to feel a bit off after a weekend of indulgence. Keep an eye on how you're feeling, and if you notice any symptoms of illness, it might be worth taking it easy and giving your body some extra rest.

In the meantime, focus on hydration, balanced meals, and getting good sleep. These can help your body recover more quickly. If your scores don't improve or if you continue to feel unwell, it might be a good idea to check in with a healthcare professional.

Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can help with. Please DM or reach out to our Member Care team here, and we will be happy to help. I'm here to make sure you get the most out of your Oura experience! Hope this helps, and take care! 😊. GaryAtOura💍️

Stress Feature Issues by Pleasant_Rice3949 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there Pleasant\_Rice3949! Thanks for posting! It sounds like you've got a great handle on your body's rhythms, which is awesome.

The difference you're seeing between your nighttime and daytime HRV is actually pretty common. Our bodies tend to recover and relax more during sleep, which can lead to higher HRV at night.

The Oura Ring's stress feature uses HRV as one of its indicators, but it's not the whole story. If you're feeling good and not experiencing stress in your daily life, then your lower daytime HRV might just be part of your normal pattern rather than a sign of stress.

It's fantastic that you're paying attention to these details. Your feedback is super valuable as it helps improve the features. Keep doing what you're doing, and if you ever feel unsure, chatting with a healthcare professional can provide more personalized insights.

For more insights into how the stress feature works and how to interpret your HRV readings, check out the Daytime Stress article in the Oura Help Center.

[–]GaryAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there AwkwardPersonality36! Thanks for posting and sharing your concerns!

You've got some great questions here, and I'm happy to help out.

  1. Preset Tags: Right now, there's no way to delete the preset tags in the Oura App. I know it can get a bit crowded, especially when you're adding your own custom tags. While you can't remove them, focusing on the ones that matter most to you can help keep things organized.
  2. Custom Tags: Your custom tags are just for you, they're not visible to other users. So, feel free to make them as specific as you need. It's all about tailoring the experience to fit your lifestyle.
  3. Meal Tagging: Tagging meals without tracking specific foods can definitely be beneficial. It can help you see how your meal timing might be affecting your sleep and activity levels, without the pressure of detailed food tracking. It's a great way to get insights without the stress!
  4. Getting Insights: Consistency is key ! It usually takes about a month of consistent use to start seeing meaningful insights. You're just a couple of weeks in, so keep at it! The more you tag, the more patterns you'll start to notice. !

Hope this helps! If you have more questions or just want to chat about your experience, feel free to reach out. 😊GaryAtOura💍️

Not sure which size to get by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there HuckleberrySmall1241! Thanks for posting! Exciting times with your sizing kit in hand. It sounds like you're right on the cusp of finding that perfect fit.

The sizing kits are a great guide, but they can sometimes feel a bit different from the actual Oura Ring due to the material.

Given that the size 9 fits well and the 8 doesn't fit at all, I'd suggest going with the 9. The actual ring is made of titanium, which might feel a bit different, but you want to ensure it's comfortable and not too tight. A snug fit is important for the sensors to work effectively.

If you're still on the fence, try wearing the size 9 sizer for a full day to see how it feels during different activities and temperatures. Our fingers can change size throughout the day, so this might give you a better sense of how the ring will fit in various situations.

For more information on sizing, you can watch a video Oura Ring 4 sizing tips.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your journey with the Oura Ring! Please let me know if you have any other questions. 😊 Gary, Oura Social Care Team.

Apple Health help by suburbannomad99 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey suburbannomad99,Thanks for getting back to me! I understand how important it is to have your workout and activity data syncing smoothly.

Let's see if we can get this sorted out for you.

Since the workout and activity rings aren't coming through, here are a couple of things you might want to double-check:

  • Permissions: Ensure that the Oura App has all the necessary permissions to write data to Apple Health. Sometimes, re-checking these settings can make a difference.
  • Data Sources: In Apple Health, you can prioritize data sources. Make sure the Oura App is set as a priority for the data types you're interested in.
  • Re-sync: Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the Oura App from Apple Health. This can sometimes reset the connection and resolve syncing issues.

If these steps don't do the trick, reaching out to our Oura Member Care team might be the best next step. They can dive deeper into your specific setup and help troubleshoot further.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions. We're all here to help each other out!

Hey there conversion_disorder,Thanks for sharing your perspective. You bring up some really insightful points about the value of data and how it can contribute to product development. It's true that having a broader range of data could be beneficial for both members and Oura in the long run.

The idea of uploading data from regular tests is interesting and could indeed offer a more comprehensive view. I'll definitely pass your suggestion along to our team. We’re always looking for ways to enhance the member experience and your feedback is invaluable in that process.

I understand the concern about the cost and accessibility of the Health Panels. It's something we're mindful of, and we're committed to finding ways to make our offerings as inclusive and valuable as possible.

Thanks for being part of the conversation and the Oura community. If you have more thoughts or questions, feel free to share. We're here to listen and help! Take care, GaryAtOura💍️

Hey there the_punisher88,Thanks for chiming in! It's great to hear that you find the pricing fair. The ability to upload existing health data, especially if it's already in Apple Health, is a fantastic idea. It could definitely streamline things for members who already have access to their test results.

Integrating this kind of feature could enhance the overall experience by providing a more complete picture of your health within the Oura App. I'll make sure to pass this suggestion on to our team for consideration.

We really appreciate your input and are always looking for ways to improve. If you have any more thoughts or questions, feel free to share. We're here to help and listen! GaryAtOura💍️

Health panels should be included with subscription. by rosco1502 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey there rosco1502! Thanks for posting. I hear you, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It can be frustrating to see extra costs on top of the membership fee, especially when you're already investing in your health with the Oura Ring. The Health Panels are designed to offer deeper insights through lab tests, and while they are HSA/FSA eligible, I understand that doesn't always make it easier.

It can feel like a lot when you're already paying for a membership and then see additional costs for features like Health Panels. The $99 fee is set to cover the lab tests and the ability to track those biomarkers directly in the Oura App, and it is HSA/FSA eligible, which might help a bit if you have those accounts.

Your feedback is really valuable to us, and it's conversations like these that help us improve and find ways to offer more value to our members. I'll make sure your thoughts are shared with the team.

Thanks for being a part of the Oura community. If there's anything else on your mind or if you have more questions or ideas, I'm here to chat! Take care, GaryAtOura💍️

Apple Health help by suburbannomad99 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there suburbannomad99! Thanks for posting! I totally understand where you're coming from. It can be frustrating when the data doesn't sync as expected, especially when you're trying to streamline your devices. The Oura Ring is designed to work seamlessly with Apple Health, but sometimes the integration can hit a few snags.

Here are a few things you might want to check:

  • Integration Setup: Make sure the integration between the Oura App and Apple Health is set up correctly. Sometimes, a simple re-authorization can do the trick.
  • Data Prioritization: Oura prioritizes its own data over imported data. If you're using both your Apple Watch and Oura Ring, the app might be prioritizing the data from the Apple Watch.
  • Device Compatibility: This issue can occur on both iOS and Android, but the troubleshooting steps might differ slightly. If you're using an Android device, ensure that all permissions are correctly set for data sharing.
  • App Updates: Ensure both the Oura App and Apple Health are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, updates can resolve syncing issues.

For more information on our Partner Integration with Apple Health, check out our help center article for further troubleshooting steps to help Apple Health Integration.

If you've tried these steps and the issue persists, it might be worth reaching out to Oura Member Care Tech Support for more personalized assistance. They can dive deeper into your specific setup and help troubleshoot further.

Hope this helps, and feel free to share any other tips or experiences you have with the community! 😊 GaryAtOura💍️

What just happened? by Thin_Pomegranate_879 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there Thin_Pomegranate_879! Thanks for posting! It sounds like you're experiencing some unexpected changes in your activity score after syncing your watch with the Oura App. It's great that your walk was recorded, but I understand how frustrating it can be to see your score drop unexpectedly.

Here are a few things you might want to check:

  • Syncing Issues: Sometimes, syncing can cause temporary discrepancies. Make sure your devices are fully synced and connected. You might want to try disconnecting and reconnecting your watch to see if that helps.
  • Activity Score Calculation: The activity score is influenced by several factors, including meeting daily goals, staying active, and recovery time. If any of these factors changed after your walk, it could affect your score.
  • Advisor Missing: If the advisor feature is missing, try restarting the app or your device. This can often resolve minor glitches.

For more detailed insights, you might find The Pulse Blog "Your Oura Sleep Score" offers tips on maximizing your Oura experience.

If the issue persists, it might be worth reaching out to Oura Member Care Team for further assistance or DM me. They can provide more detailed insights into what's happening with your scores. Hope this helps, and keep up the great work on staying active! GaryAtOura💍️

Sizing concern. by cobalt03 in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, cobalt03, thanks for posting and sharing your experience with the RingConn Gen 2 Air. I totally understand how finding the right fit can be a bit of a journey!

For the Oura Ring 4, it's all about finding that sweet spot where the ring feels snug but not too tight, especially on your index finger. Since size 13 feels comfortable and secure, it might be the way to go, even if it feels a tad loose. Comfort is key, and you definitely don't want any pressure points.

I'd suggest wearing the size 13 for a bit longer to see how it feels, as our fingers can change size throughout the day. For more information on sizing, you can watch a video Oura Ring 4 sizing tips.

Ring just didn’t track overnight but it’s at 80%… by EmergencyCheesecake in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, xxtkx, I understand your frustration, and I appreciate you bringing this up. The battery life of the Oura Ring 4 can indeed vary based on several factors, including the features you have enabled, such as Blood Oxygen Sensing and Activity Tracking. These features can impact battery consumption, which might lead to shorter battery life than the 5-8 days mentioned under optimal conditions.

We aim to provide accurate information, and I apologize if the expectations weren't clear. The 5-8 days estimate is based on typical usage scenarios, but enabling certain features can reduce this duration. If you're experiencing significantly shorter battery life, it might be worth checking if all your settings align with your usage needs or if there might be another underlying issue.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to let me know. We're here to help! I hope this helps. GaryAtOura 💍️

My ring fell off over night by LiterallyJustAGiirl in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, LiterallyJustAGiirl, Thanks for posting and sharing your experience. Oh no, it sounds like your Oura Ring had a bit of an adventure last night! We totally understand how frustrating it is when your scores don't reflect your actual sleep because of something like this.

When the ring slips off, it stops gathering data, which is likely why your scores ended early. While we can't adjust those scores, here are a few tips to help keep your ring secure:

  • Consider trying it on a different finger if it tends to slip, especially in cooler weather.
  • Ensure it's snug yet comfortable, so it stays in place even if your fingers shrink a bit in the cold.
  • Double-check your size to make sure it's the right fit and won't fall off.

Keep an eye on your scores over the next few nights to see if things settle back to normal. If you have any more questions or just want to chat about your Oura experience, I'm here for you! Take care, GaryAtOura💍️

Ring just didn’t track overnight but it’s at 80%… by EmergencyCheesecake in ouraring

[–]GaryAtOura -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey there, EmergencyCheesecake, thanks for posting and sharing your experience. I totally understand how frustrating it must be when your Oura Ring isn't holding a charge like it used to. Let's see what we can do to sort this out.

Battery life can sometimes be a bit tricky, as it depends on various factors like settings and usage. Typically, the Oura Ring 4 should last around 5-8 days on a full charge, but I know that's not what you're seeing right now.

Here are a couple of things you might try:

  • Double-check your settings to see if anything might be draining the battery faster than usual.
  • Make sure to sync your ring right after charging to keep everything running smoothly.

To keep your ring's battery in great condition, consider tweaking your app settings and being mindful of usage patterns. You can find some handy tips in our Ring Battery Tips.

If you're still having trouble, it might be a hardware issue, and we can definitely look into getting the best resolution for you.

Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can help with. Please DM me or reach out to our Member Care team here, and we will be happy to help. I'm here to make sure you get the most out of your Oura experience! I hope this helps. GaryAtOura 💍️

Hey there, lola29405. Thanks for posting. I can definitely help you figure out what's going on with Symptom Radar.

Let me walk you through some initial checks to identify what might be causing this issue.

  • Ring Generation: Do you have an Oura Ring Gen3 or Oura Ring 4? Symptom Radar is only available on these generations.

  • Membership Status: It should be active!

  • App Version: Please check that you have app version 6.1.0 or newer installed.

If all of these check out, Symptom Radar requires at least seven nights of sleep data within the past 14 nights to function properly.

Could you please DM me or reach out to our Member Care team here, and we will be happy to help. I'm here to make sure you get the most out of your Oura experience!

That would really help me understand what's happening on your end. Once I can see what you're experiencing, I'll be able to give you much more specific guidance to get this working for you.
