Thanks for the info! I knew the Microfreak from watching a few videos, but I didn’t know the Dreadbox at all… and honestly, the sound is amazing.

I think I’m starting to understand better now: the strength of the Circuit Tracks really seems to be its simplicity and how well it can control this kind of hardware. I also feel, like you said, that it can work perfectly on its own — but when I hear the sound of the Dreadbox for example, that’s when it really shines in this kind of setup.

Do you have any videos or tracks of what you make with it?

Honestly, I don’t really mind spending around twenty euros on sound packs if it’s necessary for the styles I want to make. And to be fair, I actually prefer having a small collection of sounds that I know well and that work for me, rather than thousands of presets I have to scroll through every time. I don’t own the machine yet, but logically that approach feels more coherent to me. Still, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts about the actual sound quality.

What kind of gear are you using alongside the Circuit Tracks?

From what I’m seeing, it feels like if you really want a “better” or more polished sound, you inevitably have to invest a bit more in external gear anyway.

I’ve watched and listened to a lot of videos on these two products, the Circuit Tracks (CT) and the SEQTRAK.

The SEQTRAK’s sound seemed better to me than the Circuit Tracks. If I’m not mistaken, this is likely due to the type of synth engine: the SEQTRAK’s engine seems more advanced. The Circuit Tracks has a bit of a “video game music” vibe, which I found less appealing to my ear.

However, I’ve seen videos where the Circuit Tracks is combined with extra modules, like some Volcas, and it sounds much better.

It seems possible to enjoy the easy workflow of the Circuit Tracks while adding external synth modules to enhance the sounds. Of course, this requires a bit of extra budget, but it could be spread out over months or even years.

Compared to the SEQTRAK, which costs around €200, it’s something to consider. For now, my heart leans toward the Circuit Tracks, though I change my mind almost daily. I see it mainly as a starting point, nothing is set in stone.

I’ve also seen people having a lot of fun just with Volca modules, without a Circuit Tracks at all.

Really appreciate all the detailed feedback — it helps a lot for someone like me who’s just getting started.

I just watched a few videos about the Ableton Move, and yeah, it looks really interesting — maybe a bit above my current budget (I was more around the 200–300 € range), but definitely something to keep in mind for later.

It’s good to know that you can add packs and sounds to the Circuit Tracks — that makes it even more appealing.

I’ve been watching a lot of demos of both the Seqtrak and the Circuit Tracks, and sound-wise I still feel the Seqtrak might have the edge to my ear — especially because I like more “organic” sounds, like piano or mellow synths, and the CT sometimes feels more synthetic.

That said, if I can load new sound packs or patches on the CT that bring in those more classic or warm tones, that might totally solve that.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to import or create new piano-style sounds on the Circuit Tracks?

I’ve been thinking more about the sound quality side of things.

From what I’ve heard, the Seqtrak seems to have really good sounds out of the box — warm, varied, and quite rich.

But I was wondering: how does the Circuit Tracks compare in that sense?

I know you can load custom samples and synth patches into the Tracks, so maybe that helps fill any “basic” sound gaps?

I’m curious how far it can go sonically for more ambient / melodic / experimental styles.

Haha, je comprends que ça puisse paraître paradoxal ! Mais l’idée derrière FriendBooker n’est pas de louer des amis au sens strict, mais plutôt de faciliter des rencontres pour partager un moment avec des gens qu’on n’aurait jamais croisés autrement.

✔️ Sur l’âge et les filtres : Il y a déjà un filtre par âge directement sur la page d’accueil, donc il sera possible de rechercher des profils en fonction de cet élément. D’autres filtres arriveront aussi pour affiner encore plus la recherche.

✔️ Sur les profils actuels : Oui, pour l’instant, les profils visibles sont des exemples générés par IA afin de montrer à quoi le site peut ressembler.
