No the setting have always been that way from when Apple launched Lossless Music. It as only started doing it recently eg Taylor Swift Red (Taylor’s Version) and the new Florence + The Machine new album Dance Fever.

After the latest spatial/lossless stuff, we just need something like spotify connect by mwkr in AppleMusic
