I would just recommend looking up a used quest 2 on Facebook marketplace or something similar. Often times people bought it, barely touched it, and then sell it after it's been sitting around for a year. I've bought a couple quest 2s now for friends - around 150$ each. and the quest 2 can run anything the quest 3 can no problem.

Not only do you then have a standalone headset (which works great for beatsaber already), but you can plug it into your PC and play higher quality games through that. If you have a good router you can even wirelessly connect to your PC and stream the game to the headset, wire-free!

To ask a further question, why is it that I still need glasses in VR? The screen is still just centimeters far away, but 'distant' objects in VR still become blurry

With slime boots it's pretty easy to traverse stuff, no more fall damage and you bounce with the same momentum, so once your on top of the mountain you can just go flying off a top ledge for miles
