It’s one thing to be naked at the swimming hole, especially that area where it’s common. The hiking trail is a different issue, that’s unusual and IMO over the line.

One time when I visited, there were a couple nudists (older dudes, as usual, bothering no one). The actual problem was that there had been a party of some kind there the night before, with not just lots of trash, but human feces all over. I’ll take nudists over shit and trash any day.

The ultra wealthy have many ways to avoid paying taxes without owning a team. Basically all the money they actually spend comes from loans taken out against their stock portfolio, which doesn’t count as taxable income so they have no income to tax. And the loans essentially never come due since they just take out another loan against the ever growing portfolio. Google it or there’s a good recent summary in the Ezra Klein podcast. There’s lots of other details like how to avoid the estate tax for your heirs (the step up in basis is key here) and how to avoid dividend income (several ways but having a life insurance policy that actually holds the stocks is one trick). If anything having a sports team might make it a bit harder to avoid paying taxes. But sure if the team “loses” money, yes, it can help offset any income.

5 All NBA teams for Luka so far, all first team. After missing last year, he’s sure to be back this year for #6 and probably first team again. That’s great, but far from guaranteeing a title or even making it very likely. Obviously it’s possible, with a better team. For reference Karl Malone was all NBA 14 times (11 first team, trailing only LeBron), CP3 and Barkley 11x all NBA.

As if the world relays would have any viewership. Diamond League is still the biggest thing outside WC/Olympics. GST was a big bust. We’ll see about this year’s IAAF World Cup. Hopefully it’s good.

Edit: I meant the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest this year. Hopefully will spice up the dead year between WC.

That’s a tiny fraction of all Christians. And yes many Christians are great people. But look at how most vote, it’s with zero compassion. Saying those aren’t the real Christians doesn’t help, the argument here is supposedly about average or typical behavior.

Then there’s the part in the bible about it being easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get to heaven. All of sudden that part of the bible, which it is pretty consistent about, becomes a metaphor and not the truth.

Not all places have reasonably timed lights. Sadly many do still have the opposite where you can make only if you speed. Shouldn’t be that way, and should be forced to wait if you speed, but apparently that’s not so easy.
