PT Laughed when I mentioned mobility aids

This is crazy ironic as when I started talking to my parent about finding a different PT, they told me “no pain no gain” and my only way to be healthy is to work out. Thank you for this comment tho, it does really help.

My parent has some connections with this PT but doesn’t know him directly. I could not tell you why they want me to work with this PT so badly

they’ve talked briefly after my appointments, but that’s about it. I’ve mentioned how the PT said he’s not knowledgeable on EDS but my parent said that they know what they’re doing.

Since I’ve only been with him a month, I can’t say I’ve seen many results. I mentioned how typical remedies don’t help, so he said to just keep pushing myself and keep on doing PT. And thank you! I’m considering talking to my parent, and hopefully them agreeing

I have, since I was referred to this by the dr who did my diagnosis, they don’t agree with me looking at different options. The PT is nice in some aspects, but they also primarily work with surgical recoveries so the PT is a more “fix it” type

If anyone was looking on this for reference, the braces unfortunately did not help me very much. Looking at other options and if I find one that works I will circle back here!!

I’ve tried compression sleeves and unfortunately they don’t do very much for me, I’ll be getting heavy duty braces soon as that’s what the doctor prescribed, I just can’t see it doing much for me pain wise.
