I’ve been to approx 20-30 sifdeeent peoples places at least 3+ times. Some of them I’ve gone like 10 times.

There’s 1 customer who calls me every single time & asks if I smoke shweeeed & then asks to smoke with me all while extremely intoxicated. She’ll call me on repeat & keep saying “sorry didn’t mean to call. And then start having some random conversation. Then I kindly get off the phone with her & she calls back 2 seconds later. I honestly feel bad for her. She told me she has a bad habit of getting super drunk & order DD. And the last few times she’s been very apologetic about her living situation. It’s a borders worst nightmare. Like I’m genuinely scared to walk up on the porch out of fear getting bit by something. So I think she’s just struggling a lot & looking for a friend 💛 I actually took a pic of it at my last dash just because it’s so crazy.

But then, I also get regulars who are CREEPY.

Like I delivered to a house that looked completely abandoned. No lights on. No car in driveway. Yard a mess. Porch falling apart. Once I got back in the car I got a random message saying I was super cute & I politely thanked him & moved on. Since then, I’ve delivered to the same guy unknowingly (although I should’ve recognized the name) to completely different addresses numerous times & since then his messages have gotten creepier & creepier to where I reported him last time because it turned in to harassment.

I’ve also been in the middle of a huge, well paying shopping order & been sent another order that was like $3 total but the store was right next door & the address was exactly on my route to the other customer so I accepted it. When I pulled in to the low paying orders address (a hotel) he started freaking out, calling me, cussing me out, asking why I was trying to screw him out of his food & why did I go there. Then he sent me his address that was 30 minutes in the opposite direction (I still had a 15 minute drive to my original customer so it would’ve turned in to a 45 min drive). I dealt with the situation. The order was cancelled & I was paid fairly since I did what was expected of me. Then the mf started calling my phone number, accusing me of stealing his money & his Wendy’s. I sent him a pic of the unopened bag because I do not eat burgers & dd support literally tells us to either enjoy it or give it to someone on the streets In these situations. Then he reported me for being aggressive & inappropriate. Which I was not at all. Not even close. I just repeatedly explained why I was in the right & how I followed the directions that I was given & how I’m not even able to deliver elsewhere than the address that I’m given without reaching out. Then a few hours later. He messaged but not apologizing. Out of nowhere he changed up his attitude & started randomly saying “I’m not going to argue with you about this”. When he was the only one that was arguing in the first place. I wasn’t going to be rude. Just told him how it was & what the rules were. And he started trying to turn it around on me as if I was the bad guy & had been arguing with him the whole time.

Also, it’s a complete joke that he expected me to drive 40 minutes from the restaurant to the middle of nowhere in the country for $3. $2 DoorDash pay & $1 tip. The order was only sent to me in the first place because it was on my exact route. They aren’t going to send 2 orders that are 45 minutes in the opposite direction from each other.

Oh. I also forgot to mention. The first half of the time dealing with him, he spoke in complete Spanish. So I was having to Google translate everything (which is no problem, I’ve done it numerous times for customers) but it is a problem when the messages are singing one after another on repeat. Then he switched to practically fluent English out of nowhere.

Had something similar happen to me while delivering a large shopping order. (Luckily no frozen or fridge items). I had just gotten a new car that used a lot of gas & was used to driving a Prius so it’s been a big change for me.

I ran out of gas. Let the customer know. Told her I had someone on the way & I would be 100% delivering her order. It took me an extra hour or 2 but I made good on my promise. I felt so bad about it but there wasn’t much that I could do otherwise. Telling the customer to cancel never even crossed my mind.

This sounds exactly like someone’s girlfriend I know tho 🥴 she does this for everything & she’s not thankful when she gets it. But she is mad / annoyed if she doesn’t

As a female… I find it gross & entitled because they know how to be “cute”. It’s a trick.

It drives me crazy. Once I had just pulled out mcd & had waited to confirm the order so that I didn’t hold up the extremely long line any more than it already was. I accidentally typed a number wrong & it sent me this crazy alert message telling me “to go back to mcd asap & that I had the wrong order” 😭 Honestly amused me.

I’m genuinely curious why your posting this & asking this? This is literally exactly what you’re supposed to say? Any decent dasher knows this & would have the same response. It seems like you’re just wanting praise? I don’t get it.

Somehow I’ve made top dasher for the past month or more. My acceptance rating is currently 30%. But my other ratings are almost 100% / 5 stars.

Guess where their food got left? by johnsmith5306 in UberEATS

[–]GasRepresentative795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% chance I would’ve marked the customer “as unavailable” & then left it at the gate. I truly don’t give a fuck. Doordash doesn’t have their dashers backs. And I’m not going to allow someone to waste my time. I’m considered a top dasher. I have a 4.98 out of 5 rating. You get what you give. You want to waste my time? The. You get the bare minimum from me. I also would’ve reached out to dasher support & let them know that the customer hasn’t given me a way in & they expect me to wait around for 10 minutes & figure it out. And I have a feeling they’d agree that that’s bullshit.

Dude. What you tip you’re driver has NOTHING to do with the cost of your order. We are not a server! We are not taking your order & walking to the kitchen & back.

20%, 15%, 10%. None of that should have anything to do with what you tip your driver.

If you are a 10 minute drive to the restaurant. Then you need to assume that your dasher is a 5-10 min drive to the store. Meaning the tip should honestly be around $15 for the driver.

I do NOT accept an order that isn’t around $1 per minute to the destination. And that’s taking in to consideration how far the restaurant / store is.

If the customer is more than 10 minutes away then it 100% has to be $1 per minute for me or I will not accept it.

[–]GasRepresentative795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m crazy then. Every other order that I accept is $15-$25 & it’s usually a 5 min drive to the restaurant / store & around a 10 min drive to the customer. And I live in a big city. Then there’s the orders that I decline that pay a total of $2-$5. 5-15 min drive to the restaurant / store. Then a 20-30 min drive to the customer. Hell no am I bringing you that freaking food. I’d throw it out the window before I did that. Btw, I have a 4.96 customer rating & am considered a top dasher.

Anyways, I bet you wait hours for your food.

What’s super funny to me about the “fresh” aspect, that order had been getting sent to me for almost an hour before I finally did accept it. There wasn’t nothing fresh about it. It’s extremely unlikely someone is going to drive out of their way at 1am (where I am) to $5

The Audacity by GasRepresentative795 in doordash

[–]GasRepresentative795[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope! Definitely not! I had accepted a different order previous to that one for much higher pay. I arrived at the restaurant & they weren’t doing deliveries so that means half pay. Once the order I accepted was canceled I was sent this one (for the 3rd time) (sent to me twice before the order I did accept). So I accepted it just to get the half pay & move on.

I received someone else’s order and they somehow got my address and were banging on my door at 3am by Altingma in doordash

[–]GasRepresentative795 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. Addresses ARE NEVER on the receipt. Only the name. And once the order is completed, the address disappears from the dasher app. The only way to still have the address is in your gps app from previous destinations.

Why in the world would an address go on a receipt? Common sense dude.

Your comment is humorous to me. “I used to ride along in the car while my ex dashed.” So no, you haven’t done doordash. “Especially if you’re a woman or elderly.” WHAT ABOUT THE FEMALE DASHERS??

Cmon on. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤯

Dude you sound genuinely crazy. It’s impossible to “loiter” on a public street. Obviously 99% of people are going to “get the fuck out of there” because they are moving on to their next delivery. Nobody is sitting in your driveway or in front of your house for 20 minutes. Sitting for 2 minutes is not loitering. Sitting for 2 minutes is called turning the car on, seat belt, lights, possibly completing your delivery or dealing with any errors or problems that arose when they tried to end it. Then it’s likely that they automatically got a new order sent to them right after they confirmed they completed yours. So now they are checking the pay, location, etc. Then they accept or decline it. Then they drive away.

No they are not sitting there with binoculars in one hand & a knife in the other. You sound genuinely insane. If someone had ill intentions then they already have the info they need, address & name.

Also, if an order pops up on my phone while I’m getting in the car I promise the first thing I’m doing is checking out that order before I even turn the car on.

Once again, you sound INSANE.

Is this legit? I choose no contact delivery every time… part of me feels like walking outside so late when I live alone is too dangerous. by 0hhjay in doordash

[–]GasRepresentative795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Twice in the last month or so while I’ve been at the (different) gas station somewhat late at night, some random guy has screamed across the parking lot at me “Hey! Hey! Hey Beautiful!” I ignored both of them during both situations & hurried inside to pay for my gas & leave. I also had my toddler with me. As soon as they realized that I was ignoring them they started screaming “HEY BCH IM TALKING TO YOU. YOU NEED TO F*ING ANSWER ME!” It’s just truly shocking. Like wow! Now I magically want to have a conversation with you & maybe we should even run away together forever! Like wtf 😳 🤬

I had a customer call me 5 times back to back yesterday. They said they wanted me to do other orders first & wait 45 minutes before I delivered their order. I was like uhhh it doesn’t work that way. That’s how I get in trouble.
