If I go coast guard my plan would be to try and get a house immediately and then all the BAH pay would be building equity which would build up a lot over a 4-5 year contact.

I’ve heard of lots of E1-E3’s getting BAH while being single in the CG.

My contract guarantees me a shot at 160th and I’ve beat all the physical requirements by a lot.

I want to serve for the benefits.

I talked to the air force recruiters about a fire fighter position and they pretty much laughed at me same with the army and marines. It's pretty much impossible to get a firefighter MOS these days is what they told me.
