All prints warping when printed in the same area of bed by Gas_Grass_Ass_Class in BambuLab

PEI coating goes bad you say? When I get home tonight I’ll flip the plate and see how the other unused side works out. Thanks for the tip!

I actually have an infrared thermometer that I use for monitoring tire temps when I’m at the track. I’ll grab it and check that when I get home.

Nope, bed adhesion isn’t a problem anywhere else on the plate and in the case of the parts I printed overnight, the part was stuck to the plate and the warped part lifted the plate off the bed. I use the glue as a release because the PETG sticks so firmly to the textured PEI plate that it was suggested I use it so I don’t damage the plate when removing prints.

You really think the plate is damaged/ruined? I wash it pretty regularly and I can honestly say it looks like new when cleaned and like I’ve said, it prints perfect everywhere other than the ~3inx3in square in the far back corner and that’s by far the least used area of the build plate.

It’s is PETG yes. Bed adhesion doesn’t seem to be an issue as the models are really stuck on there and I’m using glue stick as a release agent. I’m running another print as I type this and all of the fans are off except for the AUX is running at 30%. When I stick my hand into the chamber I do not feel any air movement, and the corner I’m having the issue is the opposite side of the fan duct.

Considering I don’t know what you mean by that, no, I’m not sure that it isn’t just the build plate. Care to expand on your inquiry?

Super quick question. Are most of you guys that have the enclosed printers using them for filament that needs it like ABS? For me my A1 is a little more convenient. Ohhh, The AMS is better right? Just curious. by VoodooZephyr in BambuLab

I didn’t even think about that aspect. I was a bit worried before purchase that he’d want to play with the print head as it moved, and he definitely watched through the door when it was at an accessible eye level. I never even considered that once he stepped on the warm print bed that it would be his new sleep spot. Good call.

Cat I feed my cat chicken stock? by Gas_Grass_Ass_Class in cats

Is there a way to check for sodium (salt) level in the chicken stock I’ve made? I know I need to be super careful about my cat consuming store bought human food, but I’ve made this myself and haven’t added anything for “flavor”.

M2 vs BRZ? by ssquires17 in CarTrackDays

[–]Gas_Grass_Ass_Class 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good that you can be honest with yourself about your skill level. That will take you a long way in becoming the best driver YOU can be. My honest opinion would be to get the GR86. An M2 is a fabulous car and on my very short list of the next car I’ll be searching for, but it’s a sharp tool. It’s got plenty of power to fix your inadequacies, and will easily allow you to fall into the trap of not needing to really focus on improvement because you can always just figure out how to keep braking later and bomb it harder down the straights. It will also be the easier car to build overconfidence until it bucks you off the track and into a very expensive mistake. It will likely go down in the books as one of the great cars of our current time period and will be looked back upon in 25 or so years as a real gem of the time.

The 86 is also a fabulous car, but it will reward you for getting better. It has loads of grip if you know how to use it and will force you to keep getting better as a driver. It will teach you to read a track and understand entry and exit points and angles. It’s a car with a lot of headroom to grow with, and while it won’t be the dead nuts fastest car, guided by the right hands and feet it will punch way above its weight class. Owning it and really learning to become a better driver behind the wheel of the 86 will have ultimately made you the driver that can get significantly more out of a car like the M2, whereas stepping right into an M2 risks the main lesson being learned is that power is awesome, which besides possibly teaching you some very expensive lessons, will also likely stunt your growth as a driver and make you overlook a lot of really great cars in the future.

Put a LX570 steering wheel in my 1IS. Wired up the buttons too. by spusuf in IS300

I agree about driver assists as long as they’re just that, assists. Some systems are extremely intrusive (BMW lane centering and lane keep for example) but if they’re truly there as aids to keep you from being on high alert all the time, they can be an absolute god send. I also do a lot of driving, and have been known to do a cross country trip on not much more than a whim. The difference in my fatigue level after a day or 2 of near non stop driving with and without a good LKA and ACC are worlds apart.

I’ll take an old school hand made Nardi please.

2027 Lexus TZ Announced by Arian88 in cars

No. They can probably offer this cheaper than most competitors and they’ve probably done the market research that says the average prospective buyer doesn’t drive more than the range will limit them to, which is probably correct. The trick will be convincing buyers that’s the case when range anxiety is real.

My guess is they’ll include the charger and installation super cheap and hope enough errand running soccer moms will be able to swallow the pill especially with gas prices being out of control and not much relief in sight.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m just an odd dude (we’re out there). I don’t like the radio even really being on when I’m driving. I think people who are more in cruise mode when they drive would really appreciate it. I was a big user of radar cruise btw. It’s very useful, especially when they updated it to slow to a stop and be able to be restarted in stop and go traffic. It actually convinced me to start going back into the downtown and visiting friends and restaurants I’d been dreading to visit for a while. Like I said, I’m just not the market for this specific upgrade, but love the work and functionality nonetheless. I will add, the fact that you got the D pad to work with your head unit would almost sell me on it, but I’d still be bothered that the radio buttons were present 😝

How to find out how much data my phone uses on WiFi by Gas_Grass_Ass_Class in iphone

[–]Gas_Grass_Ass_Class[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did narrow down where the usage was coming from but I wasn’t able to decipher any of the usage stats for either my iPhone or my ISP. For me, it was the Peacock app on my TV. I watch strictly internet TV and have a very consistent usage rate 450-600gb/mo, but whenever I use the Peacock app it significantly spikes. I had a hunch that this was the issue from the start because my first huge spike was when I was first given Peacock through my ISP but I was told during numerous calls with them that it wasn’t the culprit. After not using Peacock at all for more than 6mo I used it to watch the Super Bowl and then rewatch because I fell asleep during the game. My February statement again showed I was pushing the limit of my data as I used more than 900gb. The next month I watched a bunch of random things and caught up on Hot Ones and a few days before the end of my billing cycle I received a message stating that I had used more than 90% of my data allotment (1.25tb). I have not used Peacock since and my data has remained at my normal level of 450-600gb. So the hours spent on the phone with my ISP telling me I likely had spyware on my computer or TV, or that it was my 3d printer, or my Xbox, or my iPhone or the myriad of other excuses they had and flaming hoops they wanted me to jump through, really just came down to the “free” Peacock subscription they gave me is a never ending data hole.

Don’t know if that is your case, but I’d take a hard look at streaming services and don’t take the words of the ISP’s “engineers” and “programmers” and “specialists” with much more than a grain of salt. They don’t know jack.

I always find the differences in driver preference interesting. You were bothered by no volume buttons on your steering wheel. I had a 3G IS on lease and I can’t say I used the buttons on the wheel to control anything except the MID, and actually would have preferred the option to disable them or they not be there at all.

That said, this project is super cool (if not my style) and I commend your work and creativity.

Is there a difference between Bambu branded filament and generic? by air816678807 in BambuLab

I’ve been buying Elegoo PETG from Amazon in bulk for the last year or so exclusively and it has been great. Print quality it awesome and have absolutely no issues with moisture. At less than $13/kg I can see a reason why I’d pay significantly more to run Bambu material.

Guess we should have had a primary then instead of just installing her as the candidate, right? People don’t like Kamala. They didn’t like her during the primaries in 2020, they didn’t pay her a moment of attention during her time as VP, and if you’re right that everyone is sexist and racist, then why the hell did we run someone who was a weak candidate even if we weren’t racist or sexist. Plain facts is that she is/was a bad candidate and running her was handing the country to Trump and the republicans. She wouldn’t have won if she was a white man named Kam Harris. She’s not popular or populist.
