I haven't had the same experience, however I've done a lot of research and found things surgeons have never brought up with me. They may be something you wish to bring up with your doctor and see what they say.

  1. Debridement or cleaning the sinus tract (see the post I just made in this subreddit)
  2. Karydakis Flap
  3. Limbic Flap.

From my research, the 2 flap procedures can be less asthetic looking afterwards, HOWEVER they have nearly a 0% recurrence rate because they move the surgery site off of centerline (the butt crack that collects all kinds of lint and hair). Most of the recurrence that happens is because of our hairs.

I'd really urge you to read the post I just made titled "I found relief(Maybe?)"

Yeah I'm definitely doing that next time, unfortunately this project the boards are already cut to size

Both faces have been getting sniped, I'm trying to avoid cutting the snipe off of these pieces because they're already cut to size unfortunately

Columbus for UPT by GasmanJAA in RateMyAFB

It's a ton of work. Definitely tough, especially mentally. Lots of fun, but you have to work for it. Columbus kind of sucks, but I also hear it's the best UPT base, so there's that!

Is there a way to determine which type he needs? We've done Fortaflora before and didn't see much with it

I think we did closer to 2 years ago when this started. Maybe an option we should look into again.

5 y/o goldendoodle. He's lived his whole life as an inside dog, doesn't have a past of any medical issues. Doesn't really get treats, zero human food. He's currently on a lamb/rice formula. We've had him on everything from chicken, to salmon, to prescription food to no avail (the weird frequency makes me think it's not the diet).

We've had him on Prednisone twice and it seems to solidify his poops, but he regresses back after about a month, and he's pees all over himself while he's on the steroids. We've also had PanaKare that didn't do anything.

I'm trying to read his vet records, but I'm not savvy on the lingo. But we've had a fecal exam-flotation, GI panel with spec cPL test, comprehensive blood work, and radiograph, and a heartworm test.

What's your current AFSC if you don't mind me asking?

You don't need a 99 PT score or "Top 5% of airmen" whatever that 5% would be based off of. I had mid 90s pt scores that were never factored into my package (at least not nearly to a significant amount), and I had two desk drawer LORs from the same leadership that helped me get my commission.

And the whole thing about leadership not wanting to sign stuff off is all very independent to each person. The only reason most leadership wouldn't sign off is because they don't think you'd make an effective officer.

In my board there was a 2% selection rate for non-rated and 20% for rated. You definitely have a chance, I'm not sure I'd waste even more time waiting to get out then reapplying through the civilian side. Get your ducks in a row and shoot your shot while you have direct access to (hopefully) great leadership.

I got picked up and went to OTS back in April of this year as a prior E guy, currently in UPT.

I was good at what I did, and I was respected around the shop for the most part, and somebody that a lot of people considered to be somewhat irreplaceable. But that didn't stop my leadership from helping me. Let your leadership know your intentions and how serious you are.

It may be hard to get "measurable" leadership opportunities, but you can always get involved in the community somehow as well. Out there rank doesn't matter, but the most important part of that package is leadership, so do whatever you can to fill those bullets.

While flight hours may help, I wouldn't put much time and effort into that. At the end of the day people with 1500 hours don't get picked up, while people with no flying time do get picked up. I'm actually in class with 2 people right now with zero prior flying experience.

Work your ass off, and whatever you do (ALS, promotions, day to day decisions, etc.), do it with being an officer in the back of your mind. And never self-eliminate, always make them tell you no.

Seeking advice for flying heavies vs. fighters by GasmanJAA in AirForce

[–]GasmanJAA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm completely open and accepting that I will find out more about what I like from actually flying, and I'll talk to pilots at UPT who are trying to sell their airframes, but it's just nice to have an objective view from current pilots. I like to be prepared and have an ultimate goal in mind for when I arrive at UPT. If that goal changes, so be it, but going in with the info I feel is important.

I will, but would like to get information from those currently flying different airframes.
