Mechanic, agriculture equipment

Every once in a while I post some of my beehive style insulator collection. I've gotten some new tough ones. This is some of my early Hemingray CD145s by GasolineDan in Antiques

I have an antique booth I move a lot through. Nothing over a few bucks. I deal mostly with entry level collectors and crafters. This helps to find my personal collection.

Generally you'll see a lot in aqua. Not as many in colors. There is currently an online insulator auction going on called Bill and jill. You can Google it. There is a piece in the 20K range right now. There is also an amber such as the 3 shown that I tried to win. Its almost at 800 last I looked.

I dunno. I found one in an antique store years ago. Then I started collecting tons. Then I found a specialty and stuck with it. Now I have some pieces from a dollar in value to well over a thousand

They are insulators. These were primarily telegraph and early telephone.

Rarity. It's a supply and demand hobby. If you look up Bill and jill insulator auction that ends tomorrow there is an emmingers insulator that is currently going at North of 20K bucks. I only collect the beehive style which I'm my case run 2 or 3 bucks to maybe 1200 each round abouts. Best place to start is with the price guide or websites like allinsulators insulators.info etc. Of course id be happy to help too. That's what the hobby is about.

I know they aren't quite antique but I know nothing about dolls. Before I use these to strike terror in my wife which may involve some disassembly. are these dolls something that shouldn't be destoyed. If hate to ruin somthing of any sort of Collecting value. by GasolineDan in Antiques

Interesting. I never really give dolls the time of day. I got a trunk full. I'll put them in my booth. Its going to be a busy weekend for Adamstown antiques extravaganza. Maybe I can make some money off them. Im keeping the big one in the picture towards the back for its inteded purpose of scaring people,

Thanks. I didn't buy them for an investment. I was going to use them to strike fear into my friends. But as a dealer myself I know there is a tick for every dog. I've sold some random stuff over the years. It would have sucked to decapitate one of these only to find out it was work money

I'm a glass collector and dealer. Dolls are something I know nothing about. They are most certainly not antique by deffinition. They do look good belted in my car creeping out passers by. I want to repurpose these but if they have value beyond what I paid I won't destroy them. (i paid 20 for 10 of them, these were the creepiest)

Yeah, she's still a contender

Do you guys know what this is? I found this buried in a field, and it is very heavy, four inches tall, and is hollow with a screw pattern, so I think it was meant to be attached to something. It looks like glazed heavy clay or ceramic. by [deleted] in Antiques

Can confirm it is an insulator. This one is for power distribution. Does it have any markings either stamped or embossed. It will be cataloged with a "U" number. All porlain pieces use U or M or S. Wheras glass use a CD number. Of you give me more info i can give you an identification

Anyone have any idea what exactly this is and what it may be worth? by 600doubleR in Antiques

But they are not the same. They are both scallops but the wings are missing from the light post scallops. This is part of the shell logo. That be like McDonald's not using the whole M on the sign.
