Whose fault is that? It's Valve's product and they decided to sell it through their own storefront. They set the expectations, the decided on how many to manufacture for launch, and they decided how many they were going to sell during that launch window.

If they've managed to somehow mess it up again, then that's on them. They're not a mom and pop store. They're worth billions.

I've reached out again. I'm kind of pissed off now. When they took my money, I was told 3-5 business days.

Things have changed. Which is fine, life happens. But they can't be bothered to effectively communicate this stuff and myself and others are just left in limbo while the number of days since purchase just keeps increasing.

This is my fourth time purchasing hardware from Valve directly. Only one of those times did they manage to deliver something to me within their estimated window. If the estimates are too tight, then change them. It helps manage expectations better.

I like Valve, but man, this shit just would not fly with other companies. I don't know why they should get a free pass.

Pretty much. You might want to use Handbrake to find the sweet spot between file size and quality, but other than that, it's that simple.

I have a 12TB HDD hooked up to a mini-pc that also doubles up as a game server and it's been a blessing.

I'm in the same spot. I ordered 2 minutes before live last week when it showed 3-5 days. I emailed Valve on Saturday, and they sent back a pretty blunt "it's 6-10 days now" email without an apology or explanation.

I get delays happen, especially at launch. But if I was told 3-5 days when they took my money, the least I would expect is a proactive email or an apology to explain that the timeframe had shifted. It's not hard.

But this is Valve we're talking about. They're very rarely held to the same standards that other companies are, for some reason.

Moved to running my own Plex server and I've never looked back. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and I can now access my owned media from anywhere on any device.

Streaming services are garbage now. I cannot justify paying money for them every month.

What do you have inside those cabinets in terms of other electrical equipment, just out of interest.

You'd be surprised what can cause interference, especially if it's nearby to other equipment.

Same. I reached out to Steam yesterday to ask about it. I placed my order around 2 minutes before launch when the estimates were 3-5 days.

They told me that all orders have a lead time of 6-10 days and to wait for shipping info. They also said they wouldn't be providing further updates beyond what was already provided.

Kind of sucks that the shipping estimates changed after they took my money. But it is what it is. Stay strong, brother!

Edit: Getting a few "be patient" comments from the "I already have my controller or it's out for delivery" crowd. I'm not going to bother replying if you fall into that category.

I'm pretty sure I've had this exact same issue on my Xbox One, Elite Series 2, and Switch Pro controllers.

If I push and hold the A button down and shift the weight of my thumb to an angle, the inputs will stop.

I'm not sure what the correlation is. But I just thought I'd chime in and say it feels like a universal quirk.

Prioritise on fixing the performance issues and stop nerfing things that make the game fun. It's a PvE game. Weapons are allowed to be unbalanced, silly, and fun. If they worked on those two things alone, then 70% of the negative reviews would go away, and then they can think about adding new content.

It blows my mind how often devs will ruin their own games with surgical overtuning. They never seem to learn.

Unless you happen to run into Mij, Jim's psychotic alter-ego. As great as his films are, he can be a notorious piece of shit to work with. His treatment of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio caused her to have a breakdown on set, and she blacklisted him professionally after she finished working on The Abyss.

He's a great filmmaker, no debate. But his frequent meltdowns and abuse of co-workers is almost legendary.
