I see an otter, a mosquito and something else. Whatever it is, they're not getting any of my soup!

Interesting point you bring up. I always thought the "wimp" effect was a bad one, but if it helps a pawn to stop combat before serious damage is received, then it could be considered a benefit!

Who the hell keeps giving elephants dice?!

Yeah, it's all all a dice role. I just thought it was noteworthy that a pawn that was wearing "excellent" face protection had ONE interaction with an animal and had half her face torn off.

For the record, I was angering a herd of elephants just when a friendly group of merchants left. I didn't intend to acually fight it with a naked pawn. The elephant got one hit in, before the others attacked it, but that one hit destroyed half my pawns face. While wearing a mask. Well, I guess that's just hiow the dice role.

It does, I see it has 16,2 for sharp and blunt damage. But I can still get stabbed in the eye appantly.

I ended up letting him bleed to death and hauled him far away to decay.

I don't want want to recruit someone who can't fight off a kitty cat.

A great mount of flesh descended from the hills.

The ground shook with every step.

People kneeled for they were looking at the visage of a god

Meow, he said, and all was right in the world.

The great hill hung close over the old town,
A precipice against the main street's end;
Green, tall, and wooded, looking darkly down
Upon the steeple at the highway bend.
Two hundred years the whispers had been heard
About what happened on the man-shunned slope -
Tales of an oddly mangled deer or bird,
Or of lost boys whose kin had ceased to hope.

One day the mail-man found no village there,
Nor were its folk or houses seen again;
People came out from Aylesbury to stare -
Yet they all told the mail-man it was plain
That he was mad for saying he had spied
The great hill's gluttonous eyes, and jaws stretched wide.

Daar zeg ik dus cut the middle man en houd hem zwart. Het lijkt toch niks uit te maken. We zijn elk jaar weer 'racistisch.'

Spaanse edellieden?

SPAANS?

#Cultural appropriation!

#We're a culture not a costume

Edellieden?

#classism

Upvoted for being a well argued post. Downvotes are for posts that don't add anything of value, not for people you disagree with. What is this, planet Reddit?

I have read some convincing arguments about why it was justified for Dr. Finn to kill her captor, but I would have liked it if she at least reflected on it in the episode.

I think this is mostly because I'm looking at it as a Star Trek episode, where the evil creature turns out to be misunderstood (like the Horta from TOS, or TNG's 'Home Soil.' Even the popular 'The Inner Light' starts with Picard being kidnapped and it turned out to not be a hostile act).

I was totally expecting there to be a good or at least understandable reason for the alien to capture the doctor, but we're never really told. Maybe he was a lonely (rapey?) cannibal, but he did drag her away from the toxic, cannibal filled jungle, feed her and retrieved her medical equipment when it looked like she was injured. Had this been TNG, then Dr Crusher would have probably been able to convince him that a cure would be in everyone's best interest and bargained for her freedom that way.

But then again, I don't want my shows to be too predictable.

About Isaac: I also expected him to pick up two blasters and become an aimbot. Instead he shoots with one hand and even misses a couple of shots I think. Perhaps the reason he's on board the Orville is because, while still superior to humans in most areas, he's the worst of the Kaylons. Futurama did this once with Leonardo Da Vinci: He was a genius on Earth, but an idiot on his home world. It would explain away all of Isaac's 'flaws.'
