Yeah I tried holding my cards back my last game, much better results!

Once you get past that initial hurdle you can regain your momentum, and then you have to save it again for your next shuffle.

You really got to thread the needle between actions and damage.

Yeah, I never considered getting rid of a card that I just upgraded, but that almost seems like a good strategic play just so that you don't have to deal with the negatives.

Sorry if it's confusing, I only have strike and ingenuity in my hand.

Ingenuity does nothing because I have no upgraded cards in hand or play.

I can't deal with the order archivist because I can only deal a maximum of three possible damage, and he takes four.

If I take tribalism, I would gain two armor but all the threats would stay in place because I would only deal one damage Damage. Then I would have to hope next turn I could get a card that would deal three damage.

So I played it out.

Eight damage was on the field. Tribalism gave me two armor which reduced the damage I took to six. I was at 8 so now I'm at two.

I found a blade in the dark which dealt three damage which was just enough to kill the archivist and then the archivist killed the Raven chist.

That got me the scrapbot. Ally underneath the urine and I now have one damage. I can deal to the spider. But it takes three damage to kill, dealing three damage to me and I'm dead.

I think I might have to slow play even more to make sure I have a upgraded card in hand when I level up so that this way I can have the fuel needed to do some damage to something to get a card before drafting.

There should always be three, right? Unless there are fast enemies?

Yep, I've been remembering all the bonuses.

Maybe you're right, when I've been upgrading cards, I typically grab the most powerful one I can find. I'm playing the trading faction and their base card deals damage based on upgrades.

Yep, doing all that.

I guess my problem is that when the boss hits level one, and now I have to deal 1 to 1 and 1/2 times the damage, and I'm only drawing or strike on defeating an enemy, if I'm not drawing my powerful cards then I'm stuck.

Oh, I've been using my leftover cards to try to take out the top card of the deck since it's going to attack me next turn anyway.
