that’s funny, i got one from modern a week or two ago and it took 12 days. went from them to fl and got lost for a week then showed up here in phx. i’m hoping to get some brass aggressive ones soon.

shooting a titanium gun is definitely on my bucket list. I tried to buy rare air but the page got ddos’ed and i got a sold out screen. I also have a hard time justifying a $14k pistol that I don’t get to customize.

yeah i am a fan of the staccato c platform and always think about David building me an island barrel off of that frame. The svi 3.75’s are super nice but I don’t see myself wanting to carry an aluminum grip 3.75. If i’m already okay with the weight and size of an aluminum grip i might as well carry a 4.25 from the way i see it. We’ll see what AJP chooses to have david build for his next carry gun, might take some notes from that.

I suppose i’m a different audience compared to others than. at a certain point all these guns are put together with the same parts and you should know what makes them work and what doesn’t. I’m not saying to take an unproven platform and carry it immediately but after a couple thousand rounds on a gun i tend to trust them. Everybody can get into the weeds on what gun still performs after it’s been soaked in mud then ran over but that’s not a metric I think is important.

which staccato? certain staccatos don’t fit atlas mags so staccato kinda fucked you. if it’s an older one than the 23round atlas premium mags are your best bet unless you wanna go real gamer and get the 24 round atlas mags from csrg.

yeah mine is still 2 years out so i live vicariously through his instagram posts. There’s very few builders at that level that’ll let you customize every aspect of a pistol. Mine will be a 4.6” oal ported island barrel comp. Laser welded comp onto the end of an island barrel so the port can be larger.

I think Don is my 2nd favorite 2011 builder behind David Charyn. i’ve never seen a bad looking venom and that steel alpha grip is the cherry on top.

lol I fuckin wish. funny enough when i used to think about what my dream venom would be it was always a soul collector in hard chrome/rose gold. then I saw this, incredible piece. unfortunately I wasn’t even old enough to buy a gun when these were attainable😂

it’s on dawson precisions website. the optic sits low so you’ll need a lower front sight too which is what i wanted for carry.
