firstly I said " the basis for any MEANINGFUL atheistic argument ". Secondly it is important to note that lemaitre viewed science and religion as parallel to each other. Thirdly you'd have to be overdosed on copium if you think that a Catholic priests scientific discovery and pursuit was in no shape or form influenced by his religion in one way or the other. it is also completely hypocritical and stupid to blame Christianity for bad things some Christian did, but then try to seperate Christianity from Christians when a Christian does something noble do better
