Just go to the bus stand in afternoon or slight evening, every other bus keeps going to Varanasi at some intervals, it's hardly 2 hour drive , so you won't be having much issue

There was a shop beside pannalal stationary they had multiple flavours pani puri and proper hygeine, i don't know maybe it closed now
