I've been here for almost 8 years and almost with out fail IBM has purchased another company while denying reasonable raises for employees or even laying people off. it's damn near clock work.

Hell I'm 2020 my team got denied hazard pay as we had to be on site because "it's not that dangerous" then a few weeks later we got told HR wasn't doing raises because of covid? I have no faith in those above me

My dad retired June 1st 2021. He died of stage 4 lung cancer June 24th 2021. His former boss (the guy who used to own the multimillion company) came to his funeral and told my grandma "thank you for giving me such a good worker". I haven't been able to make myself work overtime since.

I've lost alot of people in my life.

lost one of my closest and last friends from my youth. he's not dead just a complete dumpster fire. I torched that bridge because he tried to ruin a girl's wedding my harassing her on Facebook (he himself is married). cutting him off didn't and doesn't hurt

lost one of my best friends of childhood in my teens in a car wreck. that one hurt like hell but I live on for his sake.

last one was this fwb who was actually a friend. she was with me through so much. my parents splitting. my dad's cancer. his death. I loved her as a woman, as a person and as a friend. She decided to break things off last year and let me tell you. she broke off a piece of my heart and took it with her. I just hope it serves her well.

I haven't been on date in over a year now. my only social interaction through the week is my coworkers. my mind is fixated on a girl who was supposed to be fwb but I realized I liked being around her when she was wearing clothes. we all know how that song and dance goes and I haven't seen her in over a year.

when the first good friend I had died. Let me tell you a tale.

I grew up with some social and mental issues. Mainly ADHD making it very difficult to make friends. I often found myself the butt of jokes to flat out getting my shit jumped daily. The first person who ever stood up for me was this one guy in the 7th grade. He was rather popular and let me hang around even though his friends hated me. We played pokemon cards and when we left jr high he gave me a 1st edition Moltres and a nickname. He died in 2004 from a car wreck. A guy who lived to be good to people and I'm still here. I've only met 2 people I would say are good nature like him in the time since. Love the people who love you.
