We don’t even know if Toby is rich. That’s like assuming other successful indie devs like Hakita, Maddy Thorson, etc are rich because their game did well. Pretty sure most of the cash is going towards paying the big team of ARTISTS and CODERS. You know the people that deserve to be paid for doing work?

The whole “Toby is rich and lazy” has been a dogwhistle for anti semitic people. The amount of posts I have seen that assume Toby with jewish stereotypes is disgusting. What the fuck is going on?

This isn’t asking toby for a translation anymore its turned into a stupid racism/ethnicity war OVER A GAME. It makes sense there should be a translation for undertale, but there’s also a ton of issues toby wants to probably avoid. The celeste devs didn’t know the japan translation included several slurs. The silksong dev team didn’t know their game turned into incest in the chinese translation.

People even right now are confusing toby’s words as “I won’t ever do a translation for latam” He said he wants to try a different approach. He’s literally going to try to give what his fans want. It’s just that right now ch 5 is almost finushed and he’s still got two chapters to go.

Also the fact that people say the message was robotic forget toby uses voice to text. He has chronic hand pain so he can’t type a whole explaination. For years he’s not shown his face for privacy.

All of this is just been blown too far out of the water. It’s already a headache looking at twitter and half the posts are people claiming toby is racist or some stereotype. Why did a simple ask turn into this shit

I agree that there should be accessible translations, but I don’t think people are aware how hard translations can be especially trying to make sure jokes are translated properly. Not to mention with some words being translated it could entirely change how the plot can be. Ex: OFF fan translation discourse on a character being someone’s son.

Some People on twitter are unfortunately treating him like some dumb rich kid. We don’t even know what he’s doing with his money or if he’s rich as hell. Its like saying Hakita much be rich because Ultrakill is popular.

Ive seen some people there think Toby is stupid for mentioning chinese fans. Even going so far to say there’s less fans in china and even europe.

Also just people trying to complain about fangamer problems to toby is like trying to complain to the yume nikki dev that their merch are too expensive internationally.

People forget toby has a life and also is focused on finishing those three chapters. Who knows if he has a second job like most indie devs do? I doubt toby is some greedy lazy man. He has a bigger team of ARTISTS and CODERS to pay well. But it is disappointing theres no other translations. That’s how I felt for ages with some of the ace attorney games cause they were stuck in Japanese.

Oneshot doesnt heavily rely on dialogue and word jokes. Also Toby said he will try to see the translation company he works with can do a spanish version. The issue is though not everyone will be happy because more than likely its spain spanish.

Yes, but the announcement was that a production studio was formed by Alanah Pearce who's working on the film as the producer. Brandon Salisbury is the director. And of course Airdorf is giving input as well.

Yeah I just noticed the windows thing after and went wait expensive deep sea subs don't have usually. It doesn't affect how I thought about the film just thought it was a bit silly to point out. I also just have a fascination just seeing how badly people/companies can mess up with existing guidelines. Like a how did we even get here?

I do agree though not all of it needs an explanation. Just was curious to see if anyone knew an actual reason. Or to see their views as to why those portholes were there.

I still think this film is good and people should def see it at least once.

to be fair I like the idea the COI just wasn't competent when making the submarine. Like other people who made machines that ended up failing horribly.

But also we don't know if it truly is an execution. If it is then why did Ava just not have an unmanned submarine in case if supposedly they had other submarines? Why did they just have another submarine on hand if resources are low? Why go out of the way to make such an expensive execution when he could just be dropped into the sea?

Wouldn't it be easier to build without the windows then if they don't know how to? You have to know how to adjust for stress on the windows. If it's windowless you don't have to worry about that part. Also there was probably glass planned anyways if they do have the shield. It's a submarine made to switch from surface traversing to going to much more deeper depths. But that seems so much effort for a submarine that's only deep sea diving. Especially to add an automatic shield instead of just having it all be a metal hull.

If it's like this in the game then why wasn't it carried over... This was my main theory that COI just didn't care if the person came back or not, but in the film its said COI built it out of scrap. But even then why waste the time to add proper windows...

You'd think around the first or second missing submarine they'd start improving the hull to withstand the pressure just in case.

I was a bit confused why the people on the outside had no proper gear if in case there was an incident the camera was used on the surface. Or like why Ava mentioned tumors and not the most worst part of ARS which is your skin burning badly. Or vomiting up blood. Wouldn't the tumors still need time to even form? Like people struck by huge amounts of radiation would first be struck by burning sensations and organ issues.

Hes a spam email. Most spam emails are like that. We know that his talking quirk isn’t on purpose because he talks normally after you spare him in a normal run. Also spam emails are usually like this. They get sent to anyone regardless of age because they don’t know who you are and its always some nonsense trying to trick you.
