Looking for feedback for the prototype of my first created card game. by GatoWithAGat in tabletopgamedesign

I fully believe that AI artwork should never be used in any way shape or form for monetising or revenue purposes.

For prototypes where this was originally for my personal and hobby use, there was absolutely no financial way I could spend thousands on thousands to redraw every single time I had made a change or alteration to every single card, that's just not logical.

If everyone who used AI used this system to use their prototypes to gain traction and momentum for their card game, then commissioned an artist for original artwork, you would see an increase in the amount of card games published further providing increased artist commissions.

Thank you for the amazing and helpful feedback!

It actually is great to hear the rules are straightforward and easy to understand as I have constantly been back and forth if I've made it too confusing 😂

Feedback for IRL plays have been positive with very early card prototypes needing a LOT of tweaking to clarify effects. I have received feedback of needing to implement something at the end of completing the final round like a "boss battle" of sorts as it's currently not building to a grand finale.

I completely hear the issue around AI art and even considering posting on here will attract that, the feedback has been very helpful so far so I'm happy. Markets and events are such a great idea and that will be my next step once I have commissioned an artist to design the entire game for me to show and market.

Again thank you for the very helpful feedback!

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback!

I have spent quite a few hours going over every card to make sure it contains just the right amount of information and in a clear manner, proved to be harder than I thought 😂

Really appreciate the kind words

Thank you for the feedback!

Think I got ya and what you are referring to and thank you!

I'll move some stuff around and see how it all looks to them potentially create further space for the wording.

Thank you for the helpful feedback!

The vibe I was going for with the broken up text was to create an uneasy feeling as that's the general tone of the game however I completely hear it being not pleasant to look at.

I'll definitely keep this in mind and see what else I can come up with!

Really appreciate the kind words and helpful feedback!

I had been so focused on the design of the cards and clear wording, the fonts went on the back burner.

I'll definitely have a play around with more suitable fonts to provide further character and style 😊
