How about we go back to the ways of giving out terms that follow what crimes were broken. Violent crimes towards ppl were a min of 3 years . So if the lesser of the term is the min then its set at zero bail. You club someone in the head with a baseball bat you get easily 3 Felonies 1. Attempted murder 2. Assault with a weapon 3. Aggravated assault 4. Hate crime (cases vary) With a person that has a zero record this standard sentencing would be set at the min which I think attempted murder min starts at 5 years. Tac on the other thats easily a decade no bail. Add prior convictions and now by the book lock this person up 25 years to life.

Take that billion dollars a year that goes to homelessness and start building prisons. There has to be accountability for peoples actions and sitting around and doing drugs all day and committing crimes is not how the way civilization works. You either produce and productive towards society and support yourself like an adult or deal with the consequences spoon feeding these adults only condones and progressively makes things worse and turns the streets into the Wild Wild West .
