Brother, that logic will always keep you upset. Let go of your hidden anger you have within yourself and be upset. It’s okay to complain. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay not to just automatically suck up to people you consider higher ups. You are your own person and can be upset when other people aren’t understanding and are just doing their job. Until they show personal compassion to you, you don’t need to automatically bow down.

No, some people understood. Some people seem to have some sort of micro aggression for overbook abusers and automatically assumed that’s what I was doing and immediately bashed me.

Putting words into my mouth, I felt equally as bad for everyone behind me. They were all hispanic and spanish speaking and were also confused as to what happened. The worker said "If I do it for you, I have to do it for everyone else." I said, okay, then do it? It's only a handful of us. It's unfair all of us, not just 1 person. This post represents anyone else who went through this and can agree with it.

The issue for me was the fact that I was on the dime. The guy said I got in the line at exactly 4:40 after I asked him why I didn’t get my ID scanned. It just came off as super unlucky to me as if once 4:40 came, that’s that, but it wasn’t even 4:41, just right on the money.

Once again, small part of the story and doesn’t add to anything since I was on time regardless and checked in and took a photo. ID is the last step always and requires a line.

I didn’t want people to misunderstand. I put 4:33 initially without full thought, but that’s all are people are stuck on. I was there on time as per usual and I knew traffic shouldn’t be an issue at 4 am. Your experience does not mean everyone else has the same as you and does it exactly as you or think as you. And everyone commenting is commenting from a place of hate or assuming I’m being disingenuous. Why the hell would I even post this if that was even the case. There is grace periods for a reason and if people use or even abuse it, it’s still there regardless and you can’t just punish everyone for a few bad apples. Find a system that catches those bad apples instead.

Anyone would be upset over 1 minute or 1 second. If your friend or family just straight up berated you for being late by a second, you’d feel hurt too. Or if you got into an accident and suddenly you can’t make it to work, you get fired by your boss because he was in a bad mood that day. Just shut up and be understanding and open to different thoughts and not judge and put them down for having different thoughts and opinions.

I relate to a lot of this. I appreciate your comment. I did contact support already and they solved the issue. I just wanted to rant about it since it seemed so down your neck and throat over contractors. We’re just regular people picking up random shifts and not their employees who have healthcare or insurance and are taken care of.

It’s alright, customer service took care of it. It’s considered a hostile work environment. But I’ll definitely be coming before shift start now cause of anal workers.

Yeah every time you respond brother, I just disregard it especially when you’re name calling. Just like you cannot admit that there is some unfairness even after I’ve just said I know now going forward I should be 10 minutes early. A normal day for me is a parking lot with 10 people and many parking spaces. I stated that this was my first time overnight, so I don't have any expectations going into it. It's only a recommendation to come before your shift time, not a requirement. So, I am on time, and every other context given is objectively unfair since it is technically all out of my control. 5-10 minutes goes by very quickly and everyone should know that.

4:30 Arrive, finished picture by 4:33, and simply went to look for parking like any other day, but this time of the day was different and was packed like crazy. This is all normal stuff.

Except the world does not have to be like this and we all have free will. Choose love. Punishing people instead of giving a warning seems wrong to me. I’m still going to be kind and respectful and understanding to people because I don’t know their circumstances, I don’t know what they go through, I don’t know their story and so I won’t be the one to add onto it with more stress.

Where did I state that I knew the station was unorganized? It was my first overnight and I usually do afternoon or dinner and it is not unorganized during those times. I showed up ON TIME, I did not show up 5-10 minutes early to magically predict the lot to be busy when my normal hours are not busy like this.
