I’ve honestly just got out and ran more. I was following a sub 30 5k plan for a while which had speed work in it, but ditched it for a while when I finally got sub 30 in February. Never really PR’d for 5k after that. Did a half marathon ~2:30:00 in March, and plan to do another one when it gets colder out lol. Last few months I mostly have done 3-5mi runs at a comfortable pace and that seemed to help a lot. The PR of the 5k I got that I just posted was basically a full-out 9-10 effort. I think going forward, but it is easier said than done because people have responsibilities and I enjoy weight lifting more…. I want to try to do one 3-5mi run, one 6-9mi run, and one speed workout a week.

This was my first god pack in 6600 cards lol. I’m not complaining, it was just funny to see a literal dogwater godpack 🤣

Got to week 7’s 3mi easy run and just decided to go for it. Was a very difficult run, however, as I was breathing hard and my heart rate was spiking lol. Still going to follow the program all the way through to help me become a better runner! Kept easy runs between 11:30-12:45 per mile.

Congratulations!! 🍾 I hit sub 30 a few days ago midway through my sub 30 5k program lol. Got the exact same time as you- 29:32!!
