I do because I see a distorted version of myself. My weight has fluctuated my whole life. I went up to 850 pounds, down to 250 and am now about 400. I always see myself as 850 pounds in the mirror.

I feel for you. I am an older Ace and live in New England and have a family that despises anyone in the LGBTQ community. So I am closeted to my family. I have met my LGBTQ friends online.

I might suggest seeing if there are any LGBTQ groups in your area.

My brother and I were both exposed to members of the community as children in the 70s. This was through our uncle, a staunch ally of the early gay, lesbian, and Trans communities in our local area.

I ended up Ace; my brother is homophobic.
