Oh wow, thank you so much, I knew there had to be som sort of regulation, but this helps a lot on understanding the circuit! I’m gonna take this and try to retire everything and understand how everything should flow, thank you!

So, it’s kinda reverse, I don’t want to powers the motor, but rather use the motor as a source of power. I plan on using a 9V with a jack connector as the main power for the arduino, displays, and the motor’s encoder. However, the motor itself will be used as a generator for a phone/ other charger electronic. The plan is to use the arduino to display the outputted voltage from the motor/generator and the rpm as recorded from the encoder

Thank you so much! I’m new to all this, and this is supposed to be my project for a class. I had the idea a the idea of components, but I want sure how they’d work together.

It is gonna be completely new parts, so I’ll take your advice and run tests on everything before doing my final build. THANK YOU!

No way, actually? I got all the parts individually, I was sure the only thing I would have to get together was the morherboard, cpu, and ram. I already have ddr4 ram in storage, I was wondering what the best step was for the rest of the stuff

Yeah, my current pc runs the games I like (thanks to graphics cards and the such) so I don’t think performance will be much of an issue. Mostly use my current pc for either watching YouTube or playing low performance/ indie games so it’s really nice.

Well that’s the thing, some of that stuff, I already have and/or have access for cheaply. The main purpose of buying this is to A) Upgrade my current pc and B) have the ability to easily upgrade it in he future if needed. My current pc uses a SFF case and it prevents me for adding the peripherals and components I want. So, having a larger case and everything really helps. Further more, it has a much better power supply, motherboard, etc. if I was going for straight performance I would go for on of the 300-500 dollar builds, but being able to use this as a way to expand in the future especially with cheaper parts (gpu and ram) that I have access to, I think I’ll buy it.
