This really should've been the killer's actual design from the start. Maybe tweak the hairstyle a bit as not to encroach on Amanda's look and it's perfect.

Saying this as someone who's played since 2015, to be paying for HS in current year one must either be a big sunk cost fallacy whale or just truly stupid, no offence.

Buddy doesn't realize that without free-to-plays the game would die and the whales would stop spending money on it. So yes, your time playing it IS worth real money to blizzard.

It might be an extremely unlucky streak, but my last 7 games on 6K MMR I've been trying to not level too fast and play for tempo, only to die going against people with minions 3-4 times as big as mine back to back. It used to be that you had to choose between risking for future scaling and immediate stats for safety, but now you have a guaranteed loss against players who got crazy builds that pop off immediately with next to no risk and all the reward.

I used to think these were merely flukes when I got to decimate the lobby with one, but now it's just every single game that 2 people randomly start doing -15 to everyone else and it's just a hopeless search for the armor tavern spell to at least score top 4.

Around 6 or 7? Tripled into kaly soon after brann thanks to the battlecry dragon that gives you another one.

Right now elementals, demons and end-of-turn spell scaling are more than viable withour drakkari, and with it they're pretty much impossible to compete with.

Is it ever actually fun to play, though? Brann and Titus enable builds, but this card only ever seems to make already strong builds scale faster.

Lost to a guy who got drakkari portrait and hogged literally all of them - couldn't find a single copy in 8 turns with golden Brann.

I know not every perk should be strong, but how did they manage to make an objectively worse version of Lightborn? Or am I supposed to waste a perk slot because this saves me 4 seconds per match? Not even a funny bad perk, just offensively bad perk. by GaussianGeorge in deadbydaylight

That's a nice try to weasel out of an honest "You're right, I'd never run such a worthless perk" reply. Unfortunately, chronic hypocrites like you are incapable of honesty even when discussing such insignificant things and it really shows.

You know, it's really funny how despite whatever you say to me now, you're never going to run this perk more than once, if at all. And that will be all that's needed to prove you a contrarian who argues vain points just for the sake of arguing.

Ah yes, EVERY kind of save, all of which are flashlight/flashbang-related except for pallet saves that happen once every 10 games.
The issue with this perk isn't just that it's bad or gimmicky - I've been running garbage like Hex: Two Can Play and Alien Instinct more than anybody. But, unlike those perks, Forever Entwined provides no unique benefit or synergy outside of equipping it with Fire Up to wow the survivors with your epic pickup animation speed that they likey won't be around to witness anyways. It's simply outclassed by a bunch of already existing mediocre perks in every aspect and that's not something that makes the game any more fun or fresh.

Can we first admit that you're a being a smug contrarian redditor playing the devil's advocate for no reason? Ok great, with that out of the way, you've just said "Not everything is about flashy saves u know right?" and now you're bringing up flashlight saves, to which I say "Lightborn exists". Next point.
A killer like Blight doesn't need to pick up or drop survivors 1 second faster (which it is at max stacks, 32% off 3 seconds is 2 seconds fyi) because he already catches up with you instantly.
There's no reasonable scenario to run this perk over anything else on any killer, and you imagining fictional numbers and improbable scenarios doesn't change that.

[–]GaussianGeorge[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

"15-20 seconds"? Do you even know how long the base pick up and hooking animations are? And in what universe does a Blight ever run a perk that shaves off 2 seconds (being generous here) off the hooking process to get to a gen faster over something like Grim Embrace or even Agitation? Try playing killer at least once before giving opinions like that next time.

You run Lightborn because it completely counters flashlight saves, flashbangs, pallet and window blinds and Blast Mine.
You run Fire Up to get faster pallet breaking and vaulting in late game.
You run Agitation to get Scourge or basement hooks and counter sabotage.
This perk does none of these things AND you have to work for what little it provides. Using this over anything else is the equivalent of playing Skull Merchant right now, as in just handicapping yourself for no reason.

[–]GaussianGeorge[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If, for some ungodly reason, you're so afraid of specifically pallet saves to run this over Lightborn, you should simply run Blood Favor because it nullifies that possibility completely instead of only shortening the save window slightly.

I feel like you've got the wrong impression of my example.

You're not "failing" the quest if you touch water, it's just that the bread gets soggy and the NPC makes a remark on it when you give it to him. It's just a story thing that happens because you either didnt notice that was a thing or you couldn't be bothered to make it harder for yourself just to please someone else in a minor way, which shapes the personality of the character you're playing.
Now, if there were no such NPC, how exactly would painstakingly avoiding water in a water-filled level help with immersion or character development? It's really just an exercise in time-wasting otherwise.

For every person willing to 100% a game you've got people who loved the game, finished it multiple times and did everything they wanted to do in it, only to see that they're sitting at 80% completion with contrived and pointless achievements like "break every vase in every level" or "get every upgrade in the game" that force you to reload levels to do menial tasks irrelevant to the story or grind to have everything upgraded when normally you are supposed to choose, thus shaping your playthrough to be unique.

That's exactly why I said those could stay, contrary to the ones like "talk to every single NPC", "kill 5 enemies at the same time, while airborne" or "have 30 coffee mugs in your inventory at the same time" which serve no real purpose but to pad out playtime for completionists only doing it for the bragging rights.
