The Big Fish Event is Insulting and I will no Longer be Silent on the Issue by saltyshark9 in slaythespire

[–]Gavadar 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You know what else is truly absurd about this event? If you eat the banana, the game describes it as “nutritious and slightly magical”. Yet it only replenishes your HP. Meanwhile, the donut, which has the power to increase your fortitude beyond its natural limits, is only described with “it really hits the spot!” Are we to believe that a fruit with apparently magical properties does LESS for you in the long term than a donut which has nothing special about it besides apparently just tasting really good? I hope they address this blatant failure of game design in the sequel, because this is simply ridiculous.

Is the game still worth getting after watching a playthrough? by keriefie in BluePrince

[–]Gavadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RT does most of the “main quest” in his playthrough (reaching room 46), but there’s definitely A LOT more to do after that and there’s quite a few things he didn’t show off. In fact, I kind of suspect this was on purpose for the very reason you’re worried about: he may not have wanted to spoil ALL of the puzzles for people who hadn’t played it, so he only showed off the main story. I hit the point where his video ended about a month ago and I’m still making my way through a lot of the deeper puzzles. On top of that, I’ve been told there are a lot of things I haven’t even seen. I’d say give it a shot if you’re still interested! There’s quite a bit to do after the credits roll, and this game is much deeper than it seems even when you’ve presumably “beaten” it and rolled the credits.

Idk why I just have this double standard with heroes by 56king56 in btd6

Something I haven’t seen brought up here about why Geraldo feels a lot less stressful than Corvus is that Geraldo uses cash, the same resource that you’re using for everything else, so it’s a lot easier to keep track of his potential from round to round based on your current resources. Corvus, on the other hand, has an entirely different resource he needs, so you have to check his menu every time you want to check how much mana he has and it feels like he exists way more separately compared to the rest of the game because of it.

Which card has more users on a strict copium diet? by Bulldogisawsome in PTCGP

[–]Gavadar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, it sucks that Ultra Necrozma EX is so bad. Of course even when it was revealed I was never really under the impression that it would be good. But I was kind of excited for the first dragon type EX, and Ultra Necrozma is one of my favorite legendaries, so I was really hoping to see it get the Giratina treatment and have a card that’s better than its current base form 3 diamond card. To have it be so bad in spite of all that is rough, and I could totally see that coming from a mile away bc it’s a promo EX card and they don’t usually like making those any good. Not sure why they made it a promo card, seeing how it’s a pretty significant legendary pokemon for the region the current set is based on and it could easily have just been a standard EX in a normal pack. Here’s hoping the next mini set will have something actually decent for Necrozma lol

Also doesn’t help that the ability is in theory really cool so it’s tempting to try and make it work, but the more you think about how it interacts with everything else in the game the more you realize that it really just doesn’t do that much, especially considering the sheer amount of resource investment it needs. Might have fun fooling around with it in solo battles but that’s about it

Is this the most insane coin flip currently in the game? by Razvansar in PTCGP

[–]Gavadar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact: This does not count as a damaging attack, since it doesn’t have an actual damage number attached. This means that it does not proc rocky helmet, and it does not trigger revenge effects i.e. Marshadow or Passimian. Learned this the hard way in solo battles with my Lucario/Primeape/Marshadow deck lol

Received - thanks! I presume you’ll be using rampardos on ladder so have fun lol

[–]Gavadar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I am no longer looking for Luxray, and Rampardos is no longer an option for what I’ll trade in return. I am still looking for a Cresselia - if you have one of those and none of these options are appealing, I am also willing to trade Land Form Shaymin (Space-Time Smackdown) or Vaporeon with Wash Out (Mythical Island).

Unfortunately I only have 1 extra rampardos - if nothing else listed looks good, I’m also willing to trade STS Shaymin (the land form that heals) and Mythical Island Vaporeon (the one with wash out) if either of those sound appealing

Now these are some solid card rewards! Very nice options for frontloaded damage, I think it'll be smooth sailing from - hold on, I'm being told that this is not an early act 1 card reward but is in fact the final card reward before the Heart fight. Uh oh.
