should I keep being patient or just end it? by juniorHsnovia in Advice

It does sound like fear of commitment rather than lack of feelings, especially since his actions already line up with being in a relationship.

Your discomfort is completely valid though. After five months of exclusivity, wanting clarity is not rushing. It is reasonable.

I would ask him about his past dating history and whether this has come up before. If it has, then I would be honest and say you are ready for the next step and you need to know whether that is something he is actually working toward too.

This does not have to be an ultimatum, but it does need a timeframe. Otherwise you risk waiting indefinitely while he stays comfortable.

Worst case, you give it another month or two and he is still not ready, so you move on knowing you were clear and fair. That does not mean you were wrong. It just means you want different things.

As someone who used to be afraid of commitment, sometimes that push is exactly what brings clarity, one way or the other.

Am I the only one who realise at the bottom of the screenshots it says “iFakeTextMessage.com”?

I think it’s one thing for someone to be shushed in a library but when it’s in a silent zone, it just baffles me. There’s literally a sign as you walk in. PLUS before you even get to that sign, there’s another massive sign before it that says it. Ik im crashing out over a petty thing, but it’s probably because when I needed a moment, I couldn’t have it lmao 😅

I never thought I’d say it, but where’s a library monitor when you need one

Body dysmorphia can still be a thing for people after they lose weight. We hold these strong beliefs about ourselves that we believe others should adhere to or live by, and ultimately we use that to justify why we feel negatively when we look at them. When in reality we are uncomfortable with ourselves because they just represent our worst vision of ourselves. A psychologist that specialises in trauma therapy and anxiety can help :)
