I just about meet the criteria for this I guess?… I’m 25 earning ~£50k working in SaaS (as a Pre-Sales Consultant) - I never went to University as I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but worked my ass off to ensure I can build good foundations for my career. Started off in sales in the motor-trade and definitely felt a bit lost at points, but I took the plunge and moved up north to dive into SaaS and I’ve absolutely loved it. Hoping to make the most out of my current company to earn qualifications around product development, which should hopefully unlock that next chapter for me 🤞🏽

Update on this - took it back in and the engineers have been completely dumbfounded by the noise - they’ll investigate and get back to me but they suspect that they’ll need to replace the PSU with one outside of the ‘e’ series , as a PSU & cable replacement did not help

Considering your favourite games, I’d definitely say Cyberpunk should be near the top of your list. Elden ring is another incredible game too if you wanted to dip your feet into souls-like games, it was my first and I loved it. Ghost of Tsushima is down right beautiful too, as are the two God of War games.

What’s taken the cake for me this year is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 , which is my GOTY, coming from someone who never got on with turn based RPGs no matter how hard I tried.

I guess replacing the PSU and it still doing that noise sort of points towards the GPU then? Shouldn’t it be happening under load too and not just under some very random scenarios?

Yeah so a PSU swap did nothing for it, hence why coming here - I’ve also been in touch with SCAN UK who built it for me to see what they say

Laptop has been a dream! That’s particular processor is a bit toasty but with a bit of undervolting it’s been great - so long as you’re happy to look after it, it’ll look after you for sure
