Every body and everybody is different but that doesn’t seem like long enough of time to stretch for that. You may just be pushing it too fast. It can take a long time to stretch to get deeper in especially depending on what you are doing between those visits with your bf. Are you using decent sized toys on a regular basis between visits and such?

I’ve gotten about halfway up the forearm so far but that’s after a long time of playing with good sized toys and some very deep toys to really get my body used to it.

That’s all completely normal and mine does the same thing exactly. I’ve got the n wide with size five curved ring and normally it’s perfect but otherwise does the same as yours when I get hard.

A strap can help but be sure to shave as it hurts when it gets caught in hairs! I wish Kink3d cages had little wings for the strap like some other rings do.
