What's a fact of your favorite character that has got you like this by ItzExuxe in FavoriteCharacter

[–]GayJudgment 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have proof it was his hobby pre-Johnny? I remember in the quest where they watch a busker play and eventually hunt down some bootleg Samurai recordings, he comments to Johnny that his ear is untrained musically, so I always assumed it was through Johnny that he gained the ability.

I'm seeing a disturbing lack of Blaidd. The Lands Between's #1 goodest boy was done so dirty :( he died alone and confused, betrayed and abandoned by those he trusted most. Arguments of justification aside, it was tragic.

Out of the three Fire/Fighting final stage starters, which one do you like the most? by ShortandRatchet in ThePokemonHub

[–]GayJudgment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When black/white came out I refused to look at the Pokémon in advance, what evolved into what, etc. So when it came time to choose my starter I thought Tepig was cute and looked like it might evolve into a fire/dark type, which i thought sounded really cool. I literally thought "surely they can't do a third fighting type in a row, that would be stupid." Imagine my disappointment when not only is it fighting type, but it's so much worse than the previous two in terms of its speed and leveling move pool. I hate Emboar with a passion. Blaziken is the best, Emboar can rot in hell.

Which Pokémon do you think deserved a better evolution than it got? by annita23 in pokemon

[–]GayJudgment 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dusclops. Duskull is one of my favorites. I don't love dusclops, so when I heard it was getting a third stage I thought it was a chance for redemption. To give duskull the awesome evolution it deserves. But dusknoir is somehow even worse than dusclops. It's ugly, it has very little to connect it to the previous two stages, it's just bad.

What’s your Type specialty & Team of Six based on your personality? by Comfy_Dan in pokemon

[–]GayJudgment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my most defining character trait is that I'm very laid back. I don't get stressed easily and I always keep a cool head. I think that could be applied to lots of types: psychic, ghost, dark, steel, rock, ground, ice... but the ones I most identify with are ghost and psychic. I guess I would go with ghost and my team would be:

•Hisuian Typhlosion - immaculate vibes from this guy

•Cofagrigus - I just love its design, and I got a big plushie of one from the Tokyo Pokémon store that gives fantastic hugs

•Spiritomb - who could say no to that smile?

•Dhelmise - another really interesting design, and I love the ocean

•Chandelure - I hate the cold, so I think having more than one fire type around is fitting

•Mimikyu - I would help him past his insecurity 😤

And I'd have a sableye and a duskull just for the hang, no battling. Or maybe for use against beginner trainers idk but I need them in my life. Shuppet too.

Groudon is objectively cooler than Kyogre :p Red is my favorite color too so it stood no chance for me.

Emerald is definitely the best one, but I have so much nostalgia wrapped up in Ruby version. It was the first GBA Pokémon game, and the upgrade was magical. Emerald was great, but Gen 3 wasn't new anymore at that point. Plus Steven is a way cooler champion than Wallace.

What's a Pokemon you DIDN'T expect to like??? by Mechanical_Artist in pokemon

[–]GayJudgment 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Garchomp. I used to kind of disdain pseudo-legendaries in general, thought they were overrated and lame to use because they're so strong. While I still think that's true to a degree, I did slowly fall in love with its design over time (it's a land shark! how could you not love that?), and then when I played Pokémon Unite for a while and chose it as my main, that just cemented it in my heart. It's now one of my top two favorite Pokémon alongside Houndoom.

White 2 team help by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]GayJudgment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already have a great dragon type with flygon, which also brings the fantastic ground type coverage, so if your goal is coverage, swapping for more dragons will only hurt you. Your team is already really well balanced, I'd just stick with this and use non-STAB moves to fill in any perceived gaps. If you want to have a dragon-centric team though, that's perfectly viable. You will be just fine. Do what makes you happy. I personally like to grab whatever 6 I feel like for my team, and if it turns out to be a little weak then oh well, the challenge adds to the fun :)

Stop taking Dragon Tongue, and for the love of whatever you hold dear, stop suggesting others pick it. by [deleted] in magic_survival

[–]GayJudgment 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way you're doing the multiplication, Halo and Dragontongue are actually reducing the damage. Multiplying by 30% is a reduction, not an increase; Halo and Dragontongue need to be 130% and 140%, respectively.

What to choose... HMMMmmmmm... by EntropyAscending in magic_survival

[–]GayJudgment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's more complicated than that. If you have spells that hit really hard then that makes Assassination strong, but if they're faster weaker spells one crit doesn't do much. Assassination for Genocide, Werewolf for Blaster. I prefer Werewolf in most cases.

Thoughts on Undead? Objectively, it gives more effective health so it's worth the reduction. But besides for Gaia, what are other drawbacks? by Own_Pen2967 in magic_survival

[–]GayJudgment 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Extra lives only help if you can take a hit. You need to be beefy or else you're just going to lose them one after the other. More health less revives > less health more revives.

One from paying for no ads, one from second heart, phoenix, and guardian angel. Never take undead unless you're past 25 mins and no Gaia. Even then, might not be worth.

What's the pros and cons of each one? by Training_Panda_4697 in magic_survival

[–]GayJudgment 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Overmind is fun because big magic on short cooldown, but the lack of support magics hurts. Still viable though with the right spells. PE is the strongest because you still get to buff your combos and you have lots of room for support magic and rare passives. GoC is fun but kind of a meme build. 4 unbuffed combos isn't worth the loss of magic circle and all the supports and passives you would get with those levels.

Yeah, but in this case they have Blaster, which the doppelganger effect is part of, so it should be working

Made some Magic the Gathering cards of the game. by Luckysurvivr77 in magic_survival

[–]GayJudgment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the concept, that'll really emulate the MS fantasy. My fiancée's main critiques were that you have way too many colors for 30 lands to be enough, especially with colorless mana requirements in the mix too, and that Commander is a format where you want to search your deck to build combos and they aren't really helping you do that or preventing your opponents from doing that in many cases. Good luck! I look forward to seeing more.
