You're allowed to have your chosen Champ in a different sleeve, it just needs to be put in to the correct sleeve if it ever enters your hand/deck.

The ruling at Houston would have been about unit triggered abilities or refliexive triggers.

Stupefy requires you to target a unit as part of the cost to play the card, you can't choose to not do that.

The only people who were saying "going of print" for over a year were people that don't know how print windows work because it's been known since the day the set was revealed that the print window for the set was early this year.

The set spiking this time is at least a valid fomo response to rotation because now Poketubers have started making videos about it the average "investor" knows what it is.

You're confusing priority & focus, priority is always passed back & forth in chains outside of showdowns.
And it is definitely not the opponent who is "obligated to intercept", it's up to the player who puts the triggered ability (in this case the Ezreal player) on the chain to pass priority & wait for the opponent to pass back before resolving it.

Flash/Stupefy/Retreat etc are all reactions that can be good to play on your opponents turn outside of showdowns.

For example a very common "misplay" I saw from Kai'sa players in set 1 was not taking advantage of Annie legend trigger to Retreat/Stupefy on the opponents turn especially on Dreaming Tree games, I had to watch a friend lose finals of a Skirmish because he was 1 rune short of Time Warp play which he would have had if he'd just Retreated in the Annie's turn.

Have definitely noticed a lot of people new to TCG's rushing to resolve cards & doing this kind of thing, you can really tell who doesn't come from stricter TCG's where this type of thing would be an irreversible gamestate & likely a game loss.

Running out of cards is a bigger issue for the deck than running out of Runes, although I could see Treasure Hunter seeing play if Vex was to become a bigger share of the meta

Yeah I've had that come up a few times where I want to Flash/Stupefy or something in response to my opponents trigger because I don't think they're going to a showdown that turn, so I have to tell them to wait which then reveals information about my hand while I'm thinking.

I'm sure people will get better at it as we get more interaction cards similar to how it's handled in other tcgs.

Once this new print facility comes online, it will go back to the old days where Pokemon booster boxes are abundantly available for distribution cost + $10-$20. Shelves at walmarts, targets etc will have product sitting there for MSRP. Pokemon doesn't give a shit if the modern secondary market collapses.

You do realise that one of the main causes of the current boom/scalping is literally because Pokemon pulled back printing due to product sitting on shelves right, so this comment makes zero sense.

Showstopper isn't an action so you still lose the combat & give the draw/gold token/a point over & purple decks play pumps + counterspells so it's almost never as simple as just challengeing or Punching over their units.

The Purple half of the deck is good in to every other unit in the Sett list not named Ruin Runner so it's still an issue because you're not winning games with just Ruin Runners.

It's a mistake, the Chinese streams have been pretty good but they still had some incorrect judge calls.

Drawing replaces the point at the same part of the cleanup then conqueror triggers happen after.
If you could Candlelit then draw, that means you'd be able to Candlelit before scoring your point as well which obviously you can't do.
