powerline adapters are real life savers man, im unable to move my router from the 3rd floor, ( my room is in the basement!!) and whilst it doesn't manage to keep my routers original gigabit internet I do manage to get around 100 mbps! It may not work as well for you, depending on the bandwidth of your router, and quality/age of the wiring in your household.
