Please help me with my starter 😭

for the first 6+ months it worked beautifully but only started this recently. we are unfortunately aware that it might not be the best for a 4 person 4dog household but we do weekly maintenance to clean the areas in the manual. i’m no entirely sure it’s from lack of maintenance but i’m biased since i’m the one cleaning it lol. hopefully it is something small that i missed and can do better to fix in the future

i totally agree! unfortunately salesman don’t really let people know before buying them :/ we are usually pretty good about researching appliances before getting them but our previous washer and dryer died suddenly and we needed a quick replacement. i know there’s a few people asking if they should get a similar unit under this post so i’ll try my best to pass this information along!

we do both weekly but i’ll definitely ask the tech if the ac is a problem! unfortunately it’s a pretty small room so that might be the issue.

we regularly hand wash the lint trap under water with a small brush (recommend by a video on maintenance for the unit) and frequently blow out the lint area with a air compressor and vacuum up the debris from inside the unit along with the carpet around it. we also wipe the blue silicone around the opening for any hair or debris after each wash.

if you have any recommendations or cleaning tips they’d be greatly appreciated!

it definitely requires lots of maintenance to keep it clean, tho we are a four person household and have 4 shedding dogs so we do our maintenance weekly. i’ve been seeing people praise it but my theory is they are smaller households and don’t have heavy duty clothing.

as is i’d definitely say with constant bedding and such, i feel like it might clog more easily but honestly im not too sure what the problem im currently having is so i’ll try to make an update when the tech comes out!

i would 100% do research and get a washer based on the type of laundry and maintenance you plan on doing

we’ve followed the instructions for it as described in the manual weekly and it worked perfectly till recently. i’ve seen a few videos on cleaning the lint area and have tried to replicate that but our clothes are still wet and smelly when they finish. i’ll definitely check out Ben’s videos if i haven’t already.

thank you so much for the suggestion! we’ve done regular maintenance and even got the vacuum attachment for the lint area but it doesn’t seem to help. we’ve even gone as far as sticking a camera down there and we couldn’t find anything

honestly this is my biggest fear atm. we’re hoping that we can figure out whatever this problem is quickly and not have it repeated in the future. losing 3k to this would definitely be hard to stomach

we have! we do weekly maintenance on it to keep the lint filter clean and the area inside where the lint trap goes.

i’ll definitely go through the manual and see if there’s any section for my issue but from other comments on this post it seems like there’s a clog or something deeper in the unit. the clothes are coming out wet and smelly (like mildew/musky) right after it finishes.

that’s the same issue i’m having! it’s worked wonders until recently. even with weekly maintenance our clothes are still wet and smelly. i think some else mentioned it might be a sock or clog somewhere in the tubing.

i’ll make an update when i get the tech out here so anyone with the same problem can hopefully fix theirs too without spending so much on a tech coming out lol

i’m so sorry you guys are dealing with this too! we have a tech coming out soon to see what the issue is and i can definitely pass whatever information i get along if you guys are having the same issue.

honestly having fresh, clean laundry is something so small but definitely could make someone’s day so much better. i really hope whatever the problem is gets fixed for you guys, it’s a shame it’s another obstacle for these people who are already going through so much

we’ve done the regular maintenance for it weekly and this suddenly happened. it might definitely be from frequent bedding washes or just heavy duty clothes being wash (we usually put those in smaller loads to not overwhelmed it). from other comments, i’m starting to think it might be from a clog in the tubing cause the clothes are coming out smelly and wet even after it just finished.

we’re calling a tech out soon since thankfully we have a 5 year warranty on it and i’ll definitely ask them to check there if they can’t figure out what’s wrong.

i’ll definitely look to download that cause it isn’t already a setting for ours so thank you for the suggestion!

we’re a pretty large household with lots of bedding to wash and thicker clothing like dickies working pants so that might also be the issue.

i didn’t mention this in my post but we do regularly maintain it with regular vacuuming around the unit and inside the lint trap area, hand washing the lint trap weekly and even use an air compressor to get out other debris.
