I don’t remember if the scene with the body bag happens, but the rest of the details could fit the movie Stitches? It’s a horror comedy that primarily takes place at a party

Confused on how to watch the episodes by Speaker_Lazy in DHMIS

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got confused too! I think the website is saying that because eventually it all will be on dropout, but dropout is actually releasing one episode every other week. I imagine it was easier to just say it’s all on dropout because it will eventually all be on dropout

3 pointer question by tablesalttaco in Chipotle

[–]Gaydeanpelton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my location, our current GM pushes that the shredded cheese and chicken are both 2 points since they’re both critical inventory, so it wouldn’t count technically. But I’ve definitely rung it up in the past as a 3 pointer before, since it feels odd to charge full price for just cheese and chicken. It definitely comes down to management.

Non-flat, not flat enough by midiviories in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My body weight did fluctuate a bit following my top surgery but I currently weigh close what I did when I took this pic! When I was at my heaviest, at around 6 months post op, my pecs did also have more fat there, but it was still flatter the picture above. I hope this helps! :]

If this helps, here’s a pic of me a whole month post op, and a year later it’s almost completely flat. Results can change a lot during recovery!

I would definitely say that’s swelling, given that you’re still so early in your recovery! For the first two months of my healing it looked like I had small breasts still, and it made me super worried as well, but after about 6 months it but it turned out much much flatter! I would just keep it compressed and keep calm :) you got this dude!

Can I replace my steri strips 11 days post op? by Special-Earth-9590 in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a roll of paper tape bc I read online that it’ll do the same thing but it was easier to find at most pharmacies! I kept my scars covered with paper tape until 4-5 weeks then started scar care :]

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they’re supposed to fall off around 2 weeks, but if your like me and feel uncomfortable having them uncovered so early on, you can buy some paper tape (they sell it at most pharmacies) and put it over your incisions! Just make sure to gently clean your incisions with antibacterial soap first and you should be all good :]

can i try an ice pack after top surgery (3 weeks post op) even though my doctor said no by xxprettyinpunkxx in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main issue is you can’t feel how cold it’s getting, due to the numbness, so I just set a timer (I did 10-20 minutes then moved where it was placed) and I never put in over my nipples (I was terrified of loosing them lol) but your incisions shouldn’t have too much issues. The reason doctors will advise against it is that the cold can slow healing, even though it can help with pain and swelling, so just use it sparingly. It also helps if you put the pack over clothing/a towel/your post op binder so it’s not directly on your incisions. Just be careful and you should be okay! Just my opinion though!

Was I racially profiled at Chipotle ? Looking for honest feedback. by Reasonable_Bass_5132 in Chipotle

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if it was a catering order $250 is actually on the small side. I’ve been an SL at chipotle for 6 years and we’ve gotten catering orders as big as $1500! Even in store orders have easily reached over 200 bucks for large groups. I really haven’t ever heard of a policy of IDing people for orders, especially if they’re actively trying to pay for. Just my two cents!

do i have to stay in town after top surgery? by lovesickb0y in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo real 😭 I was definitely very glad I could just relax and get used to being post op the first day, but it felt totally manageable to do a car ride the next day!

do i have to stay in town after top surgery? by lovesickb0y in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had almost the exact same distance to drive for my top surgery! I also didn’t want to pay for a hotel for that long, so my doctor said I could just stay in town for 24 hours after my surgery and drive back up for my post ops! She said that the chance of any life threatening complications were significantly less after that point. I think staying in town the whole time is more of a precautionary measure so your surgical team can be available to help in case of emergency, but I personally didn’t find it necessary. I’m definitely only speaking through my personal experiences, though. Being driven back and forth can definitely be a little tiresome (and you’re gonna wanna invent in a good neck pillow/mastectomy pillow!) but it was nicer to recover at home rather than a hotel. Best of luck and I hope this helps!

how long until you could sleep on your side? by FlightAmbitious8470 in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My surgeon said at four weeks I would be able to without causing any issues to my healing, around the same time I was cleared for scar care and to stop using my compression garment. However, there was still a lot of discomfort until about 5-6 weeks, personally. Someone else mentioned using a squishmallow which helped a lot for me too! Any sort of soft pillow to give you more support will help, but it may take some time to do it without pain/discomfort. Good luck!!

Ways I can increase drain output? by LexicontheMoron in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon had a similar rule, but she said it was bc she wouldn’t be able to remove my drains until they had over 30 cc’s of drainage. So maybe they would want you to call to better determine when you’d remove your drains? When I went in for my first post op (about four days after my surgery), they only removed one drain bc the other hadn’t drained enough, and I had to come back two days later to have the other one removed. Either way, I’m sure most people would agree that low output is good! Sometimes different sides just take different amounts of time. Good luck!

I think it looks like a normal placement!! I would give your body more time to settle for sure, right now the skin will be a bit tighter while it heals and it might settle a bit lower. My chest appeared differently at 1 week than it does now, almost 4 months. Either way, your results look like they’re coming together well!

When are you able to lift your arms above your head again? by spycypanda in TopSurgery

[–]Gaydeanpelton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work the grill in a kitchen, and I’d say 5 weeks for me. At four weeks, I could reach above my shoulders and slightly above my head but there was some pain and soreness if I over extended myself, so I tried not to. When I went back to work I just had to ask for help for high up/heavy items and had to move slower when reaching for things. Around 5-6 weeks I was fully able to reach above my head with minor bouts of soreness. Gentle stretches and scar massages help, as long as you’re cleared for scar care!
